Re: Speed cameras
However, on single carriageways, this type of camera will capture traffic in both directions (fact). WRONG! " On single carriageway roads, two sets of dashed lines are usually painted at a Gatso location. That means vehicles using either side of the road can be measured for speeding, but only ...

Re: Bonnet (gap) - Only one catch closing
Your instinct not to bend the panel (bonnet) was right! If you pull down the bonnet to about 15 or so cm from shut and you simply let it fall into place it must lock on both sides. Not doing so means most probably the rubber posts/buffers are not equally screwed in. Look for them and screw the "...

Re: Possible battery drain issue
That's not normal behaviour. At least not on my T4. Even if sat in the car, if i turn engine off it will keep BT on for another 10, maybe 15 minutes, than it will switch off.
Happened many a time to be on a call and suddently be cut off as all audio went to the phone. I'd say take it to your dealer.

Re: Clarkson on Volvo
33 here and XC40 T4, your assumptions are dead wrong. 80% of drivers i've seen in London in XC40s must be under 40, with a lot of XC60s and 90s drivers well under 50! Not to say the 80% in London is a rule or to extrapolate, but still. The thing is that in most urban areas, especially in country ca...

Just curious what you mean by that, Cornishman? By Start/Stop and Auto Hold being linked?Cornishman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:53 am Start/Stop and Auto hold are linked, are you using Auto Hold (Green handbrake icon lights when stopped)?

Re: Parking Climate
I would imagine Eco reduces the alternator load on the engine, in order to reduce fuel burned. Which means that the battery doesn't get charged up as well, and depending on what usage you have (stereo, seat heating, aircon, dashcam etc) it can take a toll on both batteries/look like it doesn't work

Re: Under bonnet insulation.
Quite honestly, a heat shield makes sense to be called. Noise shield? I mean main noise will go into the cabin via the firewall, transmission, chasis vibration etc - as proof by those who said they don't have it and it's still a silent cabin. Heat shield though? I've driven for 40 minutes today (plu...

Re: Heated (not) front seats.
I did have a failure on driver seat heating pad a bit over a month ago. Left with garage for 2 days due to having to order a new pad, mine just gave up. Not nice, but at least it happened while still under warranty. A giveaway (in my case) was that if left on for a while there was a faint smell of h...
