OEM bars and sunroof - a question

Hi all I've got the OEM bars when i ordered my car but haven't installed them yet as i didn't expect i will need for a while. I'm now at the point where i know i will have to use soon and as i need to sort some extra space in the shed, was thinking of slapping them on the car. Anyone who keeps them ...

Re: Start/stop engine feature not working for over 1 year

Realistically, charging the battery puts a load on the car. I think it's naive to expect it to charge well when run at motorway speeds or in Dynamic / Polestar mode. That's when the engine stays in the midrevs and needs the most power, so diverting a few HP and 1-2% of fuel for extra power to load t...

Re: Remote key battery

Yeah that's fair in your case. I cut my story short, but yeah before changing the battery i tried all 4 doors. With various success rates. So that sort of pointed me in the right direction, but i imagine it won't be nice if one of those sensors gives up in the future. My car just got out of warranty...

Re: Remote key battery

I never saw the dashboard indicator, but i might have been a while off from being fully discharged. I changed my battery after a bit over 2.5 years, which is in line with what the battery lasts on the Mazda 3 fob i have as well. Both of them have keyless entry. What i did notice on the Volvo one was...

Re: Eco Mode

I think Eco is really unsuitable for UK save for a few days a year. Whenever i tried it the car would mist up in less than 5 minutes due to no air con and high humidity. Other than that, i feel Eco is very boring, it tends to use same fuel (in London traffic) as Comfort as it wastes a lot going sloo...

Re: Remote cabin cooling without engine start gone

There certainly was an option. Used it every summer for the past couple of years

As i said, it's not a proper cool down but rather a "refresh" of the boiling air inside

Remote cabin cooling without engine start gone

Hi all With the amazing heatweave we had in the UK over the past 2 days, i wanted to cool the car down before leaving the office. In the past there were two options, to either start the engine and have normal air-con kick in, or cool the car by opening the air inlets but not starting the engine. Obv...

Re: Click sound for indicator lights just randomly stopped!

Would you mean the infotainment button? for number 2.

I can see reaching with a hand to press both and use the other to handle the key fob

Re: System failure

It happened to me on my 2nd service. The technician came out saying they have to roll back the software and reattempt an update. It took another 45 minutes to an hour to get fixed.
Though yours sounds a lot more serious so might have been caused by something else

Re: Speed cameras

Yeah that's fair, however Keith mentioned Gatso types, and even if it was Truvelo - it still only nicks you in a direction.

That it's the direction you happen to travel, that's a different story :)
