Re: Random electrical gremlins?
Check under the passenger seat - look for water. Mine had lots under the passenger seat and the first time the issue occurred it threw airbag errors, sunroof stopped working, seats stopped moving etc

Re: Servicing - costs and timing
Volvo quoted me the same reason as Citroen did in your case, brake fluid change every 2 years is mandatory for not voiding warranty. Very strange your Volvo dealer didn’t change the brake fluid at the time of your 2nd year maintenance service. Just checked my year 2 invoice - definitely no brake fl...

Re: Brake Pads
My rear pads were changed at 28,900 miles at year 2 service - I have recently had a service at my French Volvo dealer, they advised the front pads should be checked in another 15,000 Kms - the car has done 67,000 Kms already so that will be approximately 83,000 Kms - That calculates out to 51,500 mi...

Re: Servicing - costs and timing
The cost of brake fluid change was not included in the €499 4th year service pack? Volvo requires brake fluid change every 2 years, I would expect that cost to be included in the €499 fixed price, same as other mandatory changes (oil, filters, etc.) That is interesting as this was the first time a ...

Re: Servicing - costs and timing
Just had service 4 carried out here in France (67,000 KMS / 41,600 miles)- it appeared to be a fixed price - 499 euros - Approximately 422 pounds. Not bad to be honest for the main dealer in the city near to where i live. It included Engine oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter. I paid a...

Re: Paint 'Bubbles'
It does happen to many manufacturers, even Aston Martin suffered a spate of paint issues a few years back, due to poor preparation and cleanliness. Hopefully Volvo will accept its an issue and deal accordingly, I would recommend contacting Volvo customer services just to 'get it logged' as a fault a...

Re: Paint 'Bubbles'
I would be inclined (if you can) to get a first opinion from a professional paint shop before you take it to Volvo. Then you will be able to smell the BS that they may well try to fob you off with.

Re: Heads Up on Wiring issue
You do in fact have more than six months to reject - this was what Citizens Advice told me earlier this year when I was having issues with my XC40: "Warranties are bound by their own terms and conditions and are separate from your statutory rights. You will need to direct your argument to the m...

Re: Heads Up on Wiring issue
step2534 makes a good observation, if it were mine I would probably be rejecting the vehicle. A wiring loom / fuse box melting is quite serious and means possibly a large amount of loom to be replaced. The Volvo technicians may be great at their jobs but they don't build the cars and so their day is...

Mirror adjustment partially failed
Hi Folks,
My 2018 FE has developed a fault with the drivers door mirror operation. It now will only adjust left to right but not up and down from the joystick adjustor on the drivers door switch panel.
Has anyone else had a similar issue and if so what was the solution ?
