It's one of those things that sounds great in theory but the reality is somewhat different! Seems to me that the total amount of work that the dealers used to do has been underestimated and the amount of staff required insufficient? And/or there are flaws in the systems? If I towed a caravan I'd definitely want AWD. Even on the road there are occasions when the front wheels can be scrabbling for grip when towing.
