Re: Play songs by...

I have a Samsung Android phone but I don't have it linked to the car. Google Maps works fine, I can alter climate settings and heated seats and steering wheel etc. no problem. I don't have a strong accent and the text box shows exactly what I've asked for it just can't play the correct station. Some...

Re: Play songs by...

I've tried getting R2 to play by voice which I've got in favourites following the last software update but it still wouldn't work for me. That was a couple of weeks ago and haven't tried it since.

Re: Bristol port delay

Aha, found some proof. Had an email from Volvo on 22 September as regards the handover and arranging insurance and told me the registration number to do this. The car was actually registered on 4 October, the day I collected it. But now this has got me thinking! Perhaps the dealer does have a part i...

Re: Is This a Good Way to Buy a Volvo

It's one of those things that sounds great in theory but the reality is somewhat different! Seems to me that the total amount of work that the dealers used to do has been underestimated and the amount of staff required insufficient? And/or there are flaws in the systems? Has anyone received a survey?

Re: Would You Buy Another

If I towed a caravan I'd definitely want AWD. Even on the road there are occasions when the front wheels can be scrabbling for grip when towing.

Can't understand it really, they are just handing sales to the competition.

Re: Bristol port delay

Yeah, this is all getting a bit confusing because as I mentioned before I was notified of my registration in an email quite sometime before I was due to pick up the car and I think even before it arrived at the dealer - unfortunately the email disappeared off my tablet. But on checking my registrati...

Re: First Volvo but …

JFDIT. Its been a diminishing journey. First Edition 2018-2020 - Great. B4 2020-2023 - not so great. Now no AWD and many other things including the ordering process - time to choose another brand - arriving soon. Hope that answers your question? Chris John. I guess if you have a new one today there...

Re: First drive in XC40 B4

No, it's nothing to do with the battery as having differences would be impractical and not viable for the manufacturer. Mine was built without the space saver and I then had it fitted by the dealer before collection. The differences being in the foam mouldings holding the tyre repair inflation kit a...

Re: First Volvo but …

My son complained that I keep buying Honda Civics, so we have bought a new XC40 B3 Ultimate. Just trying to learn the system. A nice ride in a comfortable SUV. There are far fewer setting options compared to the Civic, and the Speed Limiter/Cruise control are trickier to use. As others have said, s...

Re: First drive in XC40 B4

Are those dims right? The tyre diameters need to be virtually the same whatever the rim size, especially if AWD which I know isn't the case here.
