Re: Jacking points
Perky, In a word yes. I have crawled underneath......... Outer length of plastic is the door bottom, measure 5" inwards from the next plastic covered strip and there's the jacking point. Unlike many "older" cars, the jacking pad, as it were, is only just wider than the male bit on the...

Re: Jacking points
I have had to change one wheel after a puncture. If you get down really low, you can see where the jacking point is, BEYOND the plastic trim bits.
But boy does the wheel weigh "a ton". Get help if you need it!

Re: XC40 Mirrors
No progress to date! Insulating tape hiding the "gap! Main dealer (who is not local to West Yorks) (and NOT supplying dealer from "darn sarth") wanted to replace the whole unit. Ermm, NO! Has anyone replaced a wing mirror glass to date on an XC40, so I can tell whether the rim is part...

XC40 Mirrors
Greetings My XC40 was "clipped" by a passing garage door recently. Driver's offside door mirror shell undamaged, all works, and magnificent job done with insulating tape to disguise the plastic shroud at the bottom that has "popped out". Has anybody got a exploded diagram of the ...

Re: MPG - Again :-)
Mine's a T4 auto: 32 ish around town, and no really long journeys completed yet. Would guess 35+ if I went to Nordkapp steadily.
But I did not buy the T4 for economy. My "500 in a day" days are long gone.

Re: Thinking about the XC40 - issues?
Chapmans at York or Malton for me. A neighbour's (XC70) and my XC40 are looked after by them. We live 30 miles away but beleive it's worth it as nearer main dealers do not meet our criteria!

Re: Fuelling with 2 flaps
Success! The refurbed Morrisons at Guiseley (LS20 8PS) has now reopened, and the snouts are visibly extended by 2", so they must read this forum! Meanwhile the other local Morrisons petrol station is out of bounds for me. Thanks for to all for what could have been a saga, but wasn't! Bhowani 2 ...

Re: Fuelling with 2 flaps
Morrisons at Guiseley has just refurbed, so I will try there later in the week, and see if they have pumps with long "snouts" which is what I think is the cause. The other makes I mentioned seem to have very short ones and only just reach the second flap. Not tried SHELL yet! Otherwise, su...

Fuelling with 2 flaps
Greetings Has anybody "cracked" fuelling an XC40 yet with Esso or Moririsons fuel pumps. It is currently taking taking 20 MINUTES to put 10 gallons in (sorry I am a Dinosaur). Yep, I have the BIG instruction book (£30!) and am doing what I am told. Should I defect to SHELL? Thank you Bhowa...
