Re: XC40 Configuration MY25 Changes?

Mine is coming up to 3 years old so I may have been tempted if it wasn't for lack of AWD and the experience you've all had with AAOS. AWD in particular I need to use the caravan in adverse sites. Many times in the past it's been needed both with this car and the prior Tiguan.

Very mischievous, and yes it was in the centre dial. But back then you didn't need to keep such a close eye on your speed, what with speed cameras, average speed sections, and now Mark Drakeford's infernal 20 mph.

interesting, however follow the link at the bottom of that to start battery. It shows it's really referring to the pre hybrid system.

Re: Anyone ordered an EX30?

Actually the reverse: Volvo have switched to a full size 12v battery in the B series, in addition to the 48v battery in the boot. The problem a few have had is I think the 48v to 12v converter as the motor/generator is 48v. Not a wide problem though, as mine's coming up 3 years old and no problems, ...

Re: Anyone ordered an EX30?

The lack of drivers display is the biggest NO from me. It would be great car for my misses, except she has poor vision in her left eye (a parasite picked up when she was a child) which doesn't affect her driving but it means as the speed is only displayed on the screen in the middle she'd be constan...

Mine's coming up 3 years old and no problems. So it would suggest a recent small batch, and if they know the problem, no longer an issue with brand new cars?

At least you are aware if you do have problems and need to discuss with the garage. It's a known issue, and Volvo accept this and will pay for the work.

Whew, that's one long sentence... The clutch/ crankshaft issues are only related to one engine. You don't state which model you have.

Re: Would you lease an XC40?

The big difference is that at the end of PCP you have residual value in the car. With lease you have no value from what you have paid out, and in my daughters experience they will try to charge you hundreds of pounds to fix what would be regarded as normal wear and tear, e.g. scuffs on the bumper. I...

Re: retro fit electric tail gate.

Not sure you could assume they'd install all the costly wiring if it wasn't being used. I know VW wiring harnesses were unique to each car, supporting only the installed options.
