Re: Delivery / Handover process ?

Ordered mine sight unseen apart from press articles. 5 months before the showroom launch. First time I saw one over 2 months later at a press static demonstration . Car was showroom released nearly 3 months later and only then did I get to test drive. Fortunately I liked it. Car was delivered 4 week...

Re: Speedo and Rev display colour

I’ve had a look and it now seems as though the original option to change the display according to the drive mode no longer exists.
This must of been done following software updates on one of its two annual services.
I’ve not noticed the change as I leave it set to the performance mode as preference.

Re: Speedo and Rev display colour

I’ll have a look later when I use the car for it’s weekly shopping outing.
I set mine up over 2 years ago so I don’t know if it’s been changed by a later software change.
As I said my car is a MY18 so this may make a difference.

Re: Auto stop/start

I had an issue last year when the starter motor battery condition sensor failed. This stopped the stop/ start system from working.
The sensor was replaced very quickly and I’ve not had any problems since.
I would agree with Bobs comments above that I don’t usually give it a second thought.

Re: Speedo and Rev display colour

I don’t have a driver profile saved. I’ve just played with the original settings.
I think that if you don’t set a theme the display changes according to the drive mode.

Re: Speedo and Rev display colour

I have a MY18 which may make a difference. My manual gives the following instructions re selecting theme. 1 Tap on settings in the centre display top view 2 Tap on My Car > Displays > Display Themes 3 Select a theme (appearance) for the driver display: * Glass * Minimalistic * Performance * Chrome R...

Re: Speedo and Rev display colour

I think you’ll find that they change automatically unless you choose a specific theme.
Each drive mode is allocated a theme.
Unchecking the relevant box should do the job.

Re: New Owner (soon!)

Welcome to the forum both of you. An excellent choice of colour Nick. I’m sure you’ll soon get used to the car and despite its lack of SVR soundtrack it’s certainly not slow when provoked. Kirman, Most if the screen is set up and forget. You’ll soon get used to those parts of the system that you use...

Re: Does anyone regret buying an XC40?

Hi Blue, welcome to the forum. I bought mine sight unseen just after they were announced and took delivery a month after the showroom launch.. I’ve now has the car 21 months, done 19.5k miles, average 31.2mpg and very happy. As Dermottdog says above any new car can have problems, and like everything...
