Re: Which options / packs are a must?

I bought an inscription pro and still ended up adding add ons. After 2 years the things I would miss most are the 360 camera, I have park assist which is great but the 360 parking cameras would be fine really. The nice to have is the glass sunroof but to be honest I often forget it’s there. In summe...

Re: Polestar 2 Anyone ?

I have to admit I have thought about it and will look to arrange a test drive next year. However major concern for me is charging infrastructure. I have no off street parking and even if I levelled the front garden and got the council to drop the kerb, it would still be a squeeze to park the car the...

Re: Brake pads

I use the handbrake manually don’t engage the auto hold function. I really do think the pad performance is poor. I don’t consider myself to be an aggressive driver and of course given the car is automatic I fully accept higher brake use than were it a manual. I’d did cross my mind that perhaps the g...

Re: Brake pads

Yes I do use the pilot assist/adaptive cruise control but only on motorways and I don’t really do that much motorway driving. I’ve never given cruise control a thought as I’ve never really noticed cars cruising on motorways that appear to be braking more than necessary, I’ll have to keep my eyes pee...

Brake pads

Car was collected this morning for its 2nd year service. Just received a call telling me the rear brake pads are 90% worn and asking if I want them to replace them. This will cost over £200 I can’t recall the exact amount quoted, suspect I was in shock😱 the car has done under 13,000 miles. I’ve neve...

Re: Polestar marketing

Thanks both, That’s quite an increase in pricing. To be honest I can’t really afford to go for it at this moment in time (currently furloughed and every possibility that I’m about to lose my job) so it would have been one for the back burner anyway, but really wondered just how much of a difference ...

Polestar marketing

Received a marketing email from Volvo offering the Polestar upgrade via a two week free trial. I’m not sure it’s worth the money, I’m more than satisfied with the performance of my T5. Are many of you tempted by the offer? Get even more from your Volvo car with Polestar Engineered Optimisation, incl...

Re: R-Design or Inscription?

Speaking as an ‘old man’ who went with the inscription pro and the T5 engine, as I understand the T5 no longer has the paddle shifters I’d have to ask as lovely as the grill is on the R design, how much difference will those stiffer shocks really make, it’s no sports car so whichever variant you go ...

Re: MY21 only 1 main key confirmed

That’s interesting. I have two keys, well three including the ‘active lifestyle’ key but I’m driving an old car 2018 registration. The reason I found it interesting is because I was watching a YouTube video of a guy in the states prepping a car for handover and that came with 4 keys, two main, the a...

Re: XC 40 Service Plan

I purchased my car in Dec 18 paid for 5 years service plan. I have never received docs. The car went in for annual service late December. I was expecting hassle but they serviced the car without issue and no mention of charge.

Don’t know if any comfort can be taken from this.
