Re: Bootliner
Hi If anyone is interested Hatchbag now make a tailor made quality bootliner for the XC40 Hi Michael. I purchased same as you, save for the headrest covers, as I'll mainly use mine with seats down. Have to say it is really well measured & designed. Quick question: Any idea what the 2 ties on co...

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates
Quick update:
I downloaded the 2nd set today (presumably something wrong with 1st version?) and timed it this time:
45 mins download (straight to car via tethered phone)
45 mins installation
Then had message to leave car with engine off to initialise.

Re: Fuse Box - Permanent Live
Still haven't got round to this (car still getting fixed), does the fuse box cover go back on OK or is it a squeeze? Sorry if it's been mentioned, my reading comprehension isn't the best at times! Just thought of something else I should have mentioned in my previous reply (hadn't noticed you said y...

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates
Well mine finished installing this morning. Didn't time it but I'd guess a total of 45 mins. Download was about the same - using Bluetooth tethering to phone (4G). Rifleman - either your car has a problem that needs looking at, or problem grows over time (only had mine a week). It's a fairly common ...

Re: Fuse Box - Permanent Live
I had trouble at first as I tried to hide some spare cable in there.
If you keep it neat, make sure piggy-backs are pushed fully home, & squeeze #12 tail between relays (see Wedgie's pic), lid goes back on OK.

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates
I suspect not all is as it seems. I downloaded maps successfully, installation started & I thought all was good as no messages. My phone had updated its software & disabled Bluetooth tethering. Once I'd re-enabled & got Internet back, 'Installing software' message returned. Looks like 'I...

Re: Front USB ports
No cover but the area does extend fairly deeply. An IPod, wrapped up if needs be, would be hard to detect from outside unless somebody was really looking for it / had a good torch.
I can understand your love for your IPod Classic but, people don't break into cars for them anymore

Re: Harman Kardon 14 speakers vs High Performance 8 speakers
I'd say the 360 camera is helpful enough in parking & tight manouvers in everyday use to be worth the money to anyone. I am also involved in setting up & de-rigging charity events against the clock & it's usually (dis)organised chaos with signage & stakes scattered all around - it st...

Re: Fuse Box - Permanent Live
Well, gotta hand a massive thanks to Wedgie for doing the ground work on this - the way some stuff goes live as soon as you open the door & some circuits have delayed off after locking doors, it couldn't have been an easy task. So glad that the 12 & 86 were both unused on my car as, just as ...

Re: Harman Kardon 14 speakers vs High Performance 8 speakers
I've never been able to judge them side by side but, there were a couple of reasons I decided to save my money: XC40 was designed for practically. There's not a lot of room to install much better speakers, however hard you try. UK doesn't see 'standard' version at all. When I looked at Italian confi...
