Re: Is This a Good Way to Buy a Volvo

Will have to see what he says as they are sending mixed messages as they are saying that they are still investigating? After another 4 weeks the part-ex will be worth even less! Earlier Gripross said it was the dealer that was walking away because of the part-ex value not Volvo. Whilst there is a re...

Re: Is This a Good Way to Buy a Volvo

Buzbox - Volvo haven't pulled the plug it's the dealer who is declining the part-ex because it's gone well past the estimated timescale and you can't blame them for that as they could end up with little, no profit or even a loss. The agency model for any manufacturer depends on customers getting a d...

Re: Is This a Good Way to Buy a Volvo

And they've accepted money from him! Yes, manufacturers do have tight conditions but contract conditions can't be unfair and with the agency model the contract is with them directly now which in theory should give the customer more protection. I mentioned about getting some figures as well but I thi...

Re: Is This a Good Way to Buy a Volvo

That's comforting Buzbox! You haven't mentioned the main problem has been the delay in Volvo delivering the car and they haven't explained the reasons for that. Extended deliveries were expected during the chip shortage but this year delivery times have really dropped. I'm no legal expert but I'm no...

Re: dash insert

Best way to find out is to Google for the price list e.g. Volvo XC40 2020 Price List UK. Fortunately in the early years they were available as PDFs and not just the web-site as now. I've said 2020 as that is the model year and I still have my price list from when I had mine. Differences in the diffe...

Re: dash insert

Sounding pedantic here but the Momentum had Urban Grid and the R-Design had the Cutting Edge inlays with the Insription having Driftwood. I don't think you are right about the lighting. Momentum didn't have rear lighting as you imply and a few folks on here have complained about its omission but I'm...

Re: dash insert

City Map Inlays were a no cost option on the Momentum and Momentum Pro.

From the date of purchase which is usually the same as the date of collection which will be in the paperwork. Same with servicing.

Re: Bristol port delay

This throws up an interesting point. Elsewhere we've mentioned that they won't be too bothered about cancelled orders as they can always sell them. But if they are registered in a previous period as in say before March 1st, then they would be the same as pre-registered cars of old and would need to ...

Re: Bristol port delay

Yes, another choice taken away. I asked my dealer about choosing a reg as I'd done on my first XC40 and a few other cars and was told no as it was done by Volvo. Fortunately my plate looks Ok. I have a personal plate on my other car but didn't really want one on the Volvo. Yes indeed. Be worthwhile ...
