Re: Bristol port delay

To whom it may concern… The past week, farmers have been blocking the port of Zeebrugge, and other places. As of today February 3th 2024 the port is open again, but it will take a few days to normalize the situation, as a lot of trucks are waiting to get on the boat. Unfortunately, this means that a...

Re: Random electrical gremlins?

The learned gentleman does not answer my questions, but assumes a lot of things he does not know for a fact. Statements such as « … Volvo Technical apparently told the dealer they also had never seen the same issue, something that doesn't appear to be true  » are no more than hearsay, at the very be...

Re: Random electrical gremlins?

A bit of an old thread, but we experienced the same issues with a five month old XC-40 B4 petrol/mild hybrid. Central console went black save for text headed 'Stop the Vehicle' unable to reset and fan at full blast (as had been delisting on freezing afternoon). Dashboard was largely blank except fo...

Re: First Volvo

Buzbox, With the UK responsible for less than 1.1% of global carbon emissions I won't be worrying about my MPG thanks. When I can no longer buy a new ICE vehicle I'll be seeking out something with a V8 and a 4 Choke Holley 😁 Other than being taxed into oblivion, what’s wrong with a V12 ? More serio...

Re: Bristol port delay

To whom it may concern : the first three days of next week (week 3 of 2024) there will be no production at the Volvo Cars plant in Ghent Belgium. Reason : lack of parts from China due to Red Sea problems (Iran-backed Houthis/US/GB). In other words, those who await delivery of a new XC40 may have to ...

Re: Alarming Incident

It's apparently what happens if the passenger locks the car, accidently or otherwise, with Thier own key and the driver and their key doesn't exit. Can only be unlocked/alarm off using the key that locked it. eg the Passengers Key Sensus OS cars behave the same way. From the owner’s manual: “ A rem...

Re: Alarming Incident

No, battery is fine. Wouldn't recognise key even in the special location. As soon as Wife's key "opened" the car everything was back to normal and my key worked again. OK. Just to be sure it’s not a battery problem, you could try out the same situation at home, but this time your wife usi...

Re: Alarming Incident

I'm on my travels up North, and was parked in an Asda carpark. My wife left the car to shop and I stayed with the car. After she left the wing mirrors went to closed position and the alarm went off. Dash said no key found, despite mine being in the car. I tried putting it on the special key place a...

Re: Life’s twists and turns

Well life has thrown me one of those less pleasant turns. My mum is 87 and living on her own fiercely independently, but her health has taken a sudden turn for the worse which means I’ll have to visit much more regularly, probably weekly, so that’s a lot of miles between Leeds and Worcestershire. A...

Re: LTE Connection

As eugen61 says, LTE (meaning Long Term Evolution) is 4G. Your connection is OK.
