Re: Map Download

Are you downloading to a usb stick via computer or directly to the car via home wifi? I only bother downloading the UK map regularly, it’s much much smaller. Usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes to download then about 30-40 minutes to install (with the ignition on). Disadvantage of using usb option ...

Re: Driving Journal not displaying routes

I’ve been using the VOC app on my iPhone since the day I picked up my car from the dealer. The log has never displayed the route driven, just the start and end locations. The Skoda app I used with my previous car logged and showed the route taken plus details of speed, g-force, revs, engine power e...

Re: Phone mounting solutions

Hi there, my XC40 T5 twin engine is planned to be delivered within 2 weeks. I'd be very interested in seeing what people are using for iPhone mounting solutions? I am looking for something that is as clean looking as possible, positions the phone somewhere that is reasonably in the driver's line of...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

I have automatic driver seat heating set up in settings, when I turn on the engine, my seat heating also turns on. Today, on a warm spring day, automatic seat heating didn't turn on, meaning it's correlated with outside temperature measurement. Does anyone know what's the temperature threshold for ...

Re: MPG - Again :-)

If you drop it into performance mode its WAY more responsive gearing wise. Well.. my T5 is.
And I am getting sub 30mpg
[/quote]

I did try dynamic mode, using it throughout from one fill up to the next. Shocked at the result when I got just 24mpg so haven’t used it since.

Re: MPG - Again :-)

Very disappointed with the Volvo regarding fuel consumption. Cant hugely disagree but the comparison might not be valid here - your car weighs what 1800kg? A saloon might weigh 1400kg? It's not surprising carrying 5 more people would affect the economy Yes, the XC40 is my first SUV, first automatic...

Re: MPG - Again :-)

I was averaging 6.4l/100km = 44 MPG but since my latest service and a new set of tyres (same brand/spec as before) it has increased to 6.8l/100km = 41.5 MPG In the UK most of my round trips are 20-25 miles on rural roads and after just under 8000 miles my average consumption is 32mpg. Best ever mpg...
