Re: Bristol port delay

Like Johnson and Sunak politicians will keep on making "brave" decisions knowing full well that they won't be in office when the s..t hits the fan! Whilst some of that in the article still holds true it was written in September and since then EV sales have stalled. No way are car manufactu...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

Always the bloomin' same isn't it! Applying Copperslip was always standard practice in the good old days. As for Rayo, John says it's not available for AAOS. Can you find the stations manually and add them to Favourites? R2 DAB didn't play when I pushed the button today, which happens if not used fo...

Re: Car choices on a budget?

Yes, mine had only done around 18k. when I sold it in September, someone got a very nice car. I sometimes wonder if I did the right thing!

Whilst I really like the new one in many ways the stop start is increasingly annoying and I drive in "manual" a lot of the time now to beat it!

Re: Bristol port delay

I'm still wondering if Volvo will stick to their stated aim of going all electric by 2030 given the stalling of EV sales.

Re: Car choices on a budget?

Those with PHEV may chime in here as I don't have any experience of them, but unless you can afford a new car with a full manufacturers warranty I wouldn't touch anything other than an early (pre-2020 model year) T4 or T5. As stated they are proven technology and on the whole reliable. I only change...

Especially as Volvo have built their reputation on safety and still plug it.

Re: XC40 B3 Core misfire repeat problems / reduced power / Engine Mgmt light (2023 registration)

Doesn't inspire any confidence in Volvo having a real handle on what exactly the problem is with throwing replacement parts at it i.e. multiple spark plug changes, oil and filter changes (can't get my head round that!) along with injectors.

Even if the road is private, as long as it's not owned by the dealer they can't have you removed.
