Re: Auto Stop/start with Auto Hold activated
This is the last set of posts on this topic https://www.xc40forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2396 My stop/start still doesn't work with auto hold despite the dealer claiming to have update the software at my service last September and stating that the stop/start was working perfectly! Actually a...

Re: auto hold and stop/start (again?)
Which battery did they replace Ropetko? Was it the main one or the small stop/start assist battery? And does your stop start work if auto hold is selected?

Re: auto hold and stop/start (again?)
Thanks all for the update - looks like it should work, which is common sense to me. I'll take it up with my local dealer.

auto hold and stop/start (again?)
Most confused by this. I'm sure when I had my car (September 2018) the stop/start function worked whichever brake was used (footbrake, parking brake or auto hold, which is of course only one of the above 2 options!). In lockdown early 2020 the stop/start stopped working presumably due to low battery...

Re: oil level after service
Oil level was Ok after my last service in September, but I still keep some spare in the boot in case. My problem was not high oil level but low oil warning as the dealer had been told by Volvo not to overfill to avoid the high warning alarm (in fact to ensure the level is below 50%) .

Re: Start/Stop
My stop/start has also stopped working several weeks ago. I tried the solution suggested but it didn't work. Car went in for service yesterday so I mentioned the problem. Apparently, "the stop/start worked for the technician on the test drive" (I'm not convinced). When I picked up the car ...

Re: Volvo torque converter - what do you think?
My auto box is faultless and easily as good as the X3 I used to drive. I read about the hesitancy before buying (2 years ago) and tried it out on the demonstrator - no problem at all. My main issue with the auto box is that when I drive my wife's manual A-class I forget to change gear!!

Re: Tyres
We experienced a fair bit of snow on the roads in Scotland and on the M6 in Cumbria coming home. Felt much safer on the Cross climates, but maybe the Primacy would have been Ok - never used them in the snow. On my previous cars Winter tyres were very much better in the snow than the Summer ones but ...

Re: Tyres
I swapped my Michelin Primacy 4 tyres for Cross Climate (which came in useful during a winter break in Scotland in February). Usually swap to winter tyres and back to Summer in March but will now keep cross climates on all year. Anyone want to buy 4 off Michelin Primacy 4 tyres (235/55 R18V) with 60...

Re: mpg query
Now done 1000 miles since refuelling with supermarket fuel and guess what my consumption has decreased back to the original 46mpg. So if any of you want to improve your mpg go for supermarket fuel rather than superdiesel!
