Re: Free SIM card when Serviced at Volvo?
I also have a Three SIM which I fitted last week. This is the third Three SIM I've fitted, the first two installed smoothly and quickly, but the latter one had to be removed and reinstalled a few times before it installed, in the end I left it for about 15 minutes and it fired up.

Re: Free SIM card when Serviced at Volvo?
Yes, it is a pain to set up. There are instructions on this site posted by DanishPastry here: https://www.xc40forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2439 In the post he gives the instructions for the dealer set up, and then a link to a procedure the user has to go through. Unfortunately, this link no longer w...

Re: Free SIM card when Serviced at Volvo?
I also have the Three 2 year, 24GB SIM, I only fitted this week when I got my car back from the repairers (my previous one expired on 31/10/22). I'll see if I can get this one to work in the car and move my Three SIM to the second SIM slot on my phone. I may try setting up the Vodaphone SIM on my ph...

Re: Free SIM card when Serviced at Volvo?
My 68 reg FE was serviced last Friday, so I cheekily phoned my dealer up today and asked if I can apply for this SIM retrospectively. The lady on the service desk wasn't aware of the offer so she said she'd check and get back to me. A few hours later she rang and said there is one waiting for me to ...

Home now, and she feels like new. They've done a good job (on initial inspection).

Re: Who would've thought ..........
At last, I will be shortly setting off to collect my car, exactly 6 calendar months (and 6 hours ) after the accident!

Re: Who would've thought ..........
I use IAM Surety for both my motorcycle and car, the broker used for these services is Cornhill in Belfast. Each year I can end up with different underwriters depending who is offering the best deal at the time. For example, my motorcycle insurance was underwritten by Aegis last year, this years it'...

Re: Who would've thought ..........
Fingers crossed Bob, that really has been a nightmare. Chris Thanks, it has been a bit of a nightmare. At least it looks like I won't have to worry about the legal side of things. Up until a couple of weeks ago it was looking like I was going to have to seek solicitors advice, at my expense, to see...

Re: Who would've thought ..........
A quick update on this saga. Believe it or not, 22 weeks and 4 days on (i.e. a little over 5 months since the accident) I still haven't got my car back, nor has liability been resolved. Total cost of repairs are going to be about £15k, had it not been for COVID inflating the used car prices I think ...
