Averaging 35mpg on a D4 FE. I was averaging around 36-38 on my old (well 2016) XC60 D5 Polestar, so I'm disappointed a newer, lighter car with smaller, more economical engine isn't achieving more. Yeh, got the kick boot, its so temperamental though, got to find the right spot, then look like a muppet waving your foot around and hoping it works, so tend not to use it.

Do use the remote boot a fair amount though, so maybe not for me. But then the back has disappeared from one of my keys, and the other has been shut in a door, so isn't in the best condition ever, so maybe this is the idiot-proof option!

Works okish for me - nowhere near as good as my XC60's, and need a bit of fiddling around to get the setting right when the rain starts, but once it's right, it's right.

+1 on this Had polestar on my XC60 D5, wasn't a huge performance increase over the stock D5 if I recall correctly. However the D4 + Polestar on the XC60 was fairly significant I think - almost up to D5 specification. Assuming you'd get the same sort of performance improvement on the XC40 D4, so expe...
