Talking about bonnets, does the XC40 have the same facility as the XC60 whereby you can push the bonnet further open, manually , above what the gas struts have opened it to . Good facility if you are tall.

If its that funny symbol in the top centre that changes to a red car then its a collision risk warning

The send to car facility is part of VOC so will use the built in sim unless there is an additional sim in the car then it will use this one.

TUx R40, do you mean take the sim out of the IPad and place it in the sim slot,. If so you would need a sim carrier as it’s a full size sim in the Volvo and the iPad uses a micro sim. Or you could tether the car to your iPad if your carrier allows this.

There is no data allowance on the car sim it is only used for VOC, nothing else. if you want to connect your car to data you either have to tether your phone, or purchase a sim to go in the slot. If there is another sim present then VOC will use this one instead of its own.

The inbuilt system uses GPS not data. You can get live traffic data to the maps and this uses a data connection.
