As well as reading the manual I always advise new owners to get a Brotect matte screen protector off ebay or Amazon. It cuts down on fingerprints and glare no end and is dead easy to fit.

After 14 months of use Volvo on call is showing 42.1 average mpg for my manual T3. I have seen the instant mpg show as much as 52 mpg on a motorway cruise. I dont do a lot of town driving however.

I totally agree with you. I really like my current XC40 but I will not pay more to get less on a newer one. I will be looking around at something else in few years time.

My T3 is smooth and quiet. It's probably quieter than my previous 4 cylinder Astra's were.

For those like me with no rear interior light, I picked this up for £3.99 from a local garden centre. Used double sided tape to fix it to some plastic trim over the passenger rear door. Battery operated but solves the problem of no light in the back.

Here is where mine was when I bought the car.

My locking wheel nut is kept in an insert with the rest of the spare wheel paraphernalia. The hollow tube is for insering into the filler pipe if you need to fill up from a petrol can.

As blastpipe says, many many posts on the forum bemoan the fact that the vodaphone sim setup is a stressful experience. Even some dealers do not seem to know how to do it. My purchase also predates the offer of a free sim so I got the 2 year 3 sim and it worked straight out of the box.

An essential bit if kit in my opinion and the first thing I bought for the car. As Spider62 says BROTECT do a XC40 specific matte screen protector. You can get one off Amazon or ebay. Also protects against cleaning chemicals and drinks spills.
