Re: Roof Bars for 2020 model
We have a set branded 'Turtle Air-2' - very good quality at a lower price point than Thule. Have carried a couple of Kayaks on them and also 3 pushbikes without an issue.
Used them on both our old XC40 and now our XC60

Re: What don't you like about your XC40?
The only thing we didn't like about our XC40 was its reliability, was clearly a Friday afternoon car.
The XC60 we replaced it with has been faultless so far.....

Funnily enough we had the exact same response with our old XC40. May not be what you want to hear but didn't resolve our issue....

Re: Aircon fan dead
This was one of the many issues we had with our XC40 that led to it being traded in - ours was a MY2020 car.
We kept being told it was software and then an electrical issues where they stripped the whole dash out, never resolved in the end so we traded it for a new XC60

Re: Roadside failure
Lucky, they were a bloody nightmare with our XC40! Didn't stop us buying our XC60 from them though.Cornishman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 6:55 pm Well done to Lookers Colchester, the "MVCM" module has been replaced a day before their estimate! Pick up tomorrow a.m. as I couldn't get there tonight...

Re: Info entertainment Google Upgrade
Highly unlikely, if not impossible - it interfaces with all of the car systems so would be a major strip and rebuild.....

Re: Excessive Brake Wear
On our old XC40 we went down to 90% worn in 18000 miles, think the braking is heavily rear biased - don't believe that auto handbrake will have anything to do with it.

Re: Apple CarPlay Finally Arrives!
2.2 has been listed on the Volvo website since at least yesterday: However, I suppose it is unclear exactly when it will be available for download. The US forum is indicating 3 July for OTA. Is there any info about CarPlay being wireless? Everything I've read states its wired connection only....

Re: Random electrical gremlins?
Only way we could get the issue resolved is by trading it in against an XC60.
Our XC40 sold within a few days so be interested to see if a new member turns up on here with the same issues....
