Re: Signing off.
Pity the cars going. What are you getting to replace it? Thanks for your input to the forum as well and all the best for the future. Thanks. I’ve gone for a Nissan Juke Hybrid. It’s not in the same class as the Volvo but Volvo are making it extremely difficult to swap to Hybrid or full electric due...

Signing off.
Hey fellow XC40 lovers I waved Bon voyage to my car today. Bitter sweet moment and wished I could have kept her. Reason for sale was the price of fuel - doing a lot more mileage now that we’ve moved to the coast from London/Kent and still commute back to fulfil our grandparent duties. I have to say ...

Re: They’ve got you by the short and curlies!!!
Can't agree more. What are you replacing it with? A Nissan Juke Hybrid. The Nissan isn’t in the same league but the wife would like something smaller 😂. We hope to get 50+ mpg out of the Nissan rather than 32. Time will tell if we like it or not. I will miss the remote engine start, power tail gate...

They’ve got you by the short and curlies!!!
So, I’m selling my car. After 3 years of trouble free motoring and a month out of warranty, I get 2 error messages - Support Battery requires a service and park assist temporarily unavailable. Turns out that the park assist issue is brought on by the low battery. Took it to Volvo and they diagnosed ...

Re: Noticeable drop in quality
What sort of noise is it? I get a sort of "groaning" noise when going over speed bumps but it's out of warranty now so will live with it unless it becomes an MOT issue. Really like the car and will be keeping it but it is very likely to be my one and only Volvo as reducing spec and increa...

Noticeable drop in quality
Hey So my 2019 T5 R-D Pro in the dealership for a small suspension noise from the passenger side front. They diagnosed it as a top mount but now also want to change the damper (all under warranty). Anyway, my loan car is a B4 and I assume it’s the ‘core’ model. I was shocked at the flimsy main fob. ...

Re: MPG after 10k miles
Mine is not brilliant after 3 years - 32to33 on a run (Eco mode). Which is one of the reasons it’s had to go.

Re: Noise - it’s driving me potty!!!
Could be a benefit if you could show the 2 bolts you adjusted - might help someone down the line with similar issues … 👍🏻 Yep, you’re right. The bonnet was making the plastic trim (yellow) rub the body work to which it was mounted. After lubricating everything in site without success, I unscrewed t...

Re: Noise - it’s driving me potty!!!
So, after quite some time looking into this noise, I can confirm that I found it. Turns out to be that the bonnet rubs on some plastic fixed to the wing. I adjusted 2 bolts, one either side, and the noise has completely gone. I do have another noise. That has been diagnosed as one of the front suspe...

Re: Alternative to XC40 ??
I’m looking at this with interest. We are changing our XC40 R-Design Pro T5 in late October. It’s not a choice I’m looking forward to but had to make. Currently, I’m spending £350-£380 on fuel a month. This risen from about £250. The rise in fuel costs has effectively made this decision for me. I’v...
