Re: In car HiFi
and the new speaker channels have to be software activated in the amplifier. Sounds highly speculative. I'd be fairly certain the HK amp is a completely different unit, seeing that it has a greater output + Pro Logic processing. Front & rear separation is already there, as evidenced by the fade...

Re: MY21 only 1 main key confirmed
Yup, full key fob would usually be around double that.
The £75 thing came from member Shan (scroll back) who received the offer via email from Volvo (edit: sorry, dealer). Anybody wanting to take up offer probably needs to pm Shan and/or email Volvo or speak to dealer to find out how to go about it.

Re: MY21 only 1 main key confirmed
Just did that quote - over £1100 for 3 years at 5000 miles per year!! Maybe I'm getting hammered because it's the plug in hybrid. Wow! That's a rip-off! At 5k p.a. you're effectively only paying to keep the warranty valid. Software updates aside (which, presumably, will all happen OTA for those pre...

Re: MY21 only 1 main key confirmed
Servicing offers come and go and are not always advertised very well (if at all). I ordered my V60 on 3/7 and had searched hard for servicing offers beforehand & could find none. I was delighted when told I could have 3 years for £399 or 5 for £599. As others have said, it's a no-brainer if the ...

Re: External Trim Fault? - Check yours now!
My money would also be on a cracking ceramic coating. That trim, being black plastic will expand/contract a lot - more than the coating can handle. You're lucky the dealer is not clued up enough to recognise it. People who will part you with your money to apply said coatings are ten-a-penny. Those w...

Re: Auto stop start disabled
It's weird really as my car is coming up to 18 months old & sometimes it has a go at kicking in when it's obvious it's a lost cause. Sure, there are times when it doesn't kick in but the reasons why are fairly obvious. Conversely, it will sometimes shut off when it's, say 32° outside & ac is...

Re: Current XC40 would you purchase again
Surely the biggest driver, though, is the huge % of buyers who buy on lease, for whom all the options are prohibitively expensive as they're written off over 36 months - have them included on, say, a Vorsprung model & they cost you half as much. I think you have nailed it, right there. I suspec...

Re: Current XC40 would you purchase again
@johnd I agree. In fact, I'd go one step further & say that even packs will slowly disappear & we will eventually go back to a choice of models only (I'm old enough to remember the old days of: L, GL, GLS, & Ghia). Having lived through the nightmare of WLTP & telling VW to stuff my T...

Oh, and be careful your salesman is not trying to pull a fast one by trying to sell you a stock car AND get the workshop business. You say you're not bothered about BLIS & CTA - I'd say think again, they are well worth it. I've not looked into it but, I suspect the retrofit is only PA & ACC ...

Re: New member
Welcome Mike. 1st part of your question - Intellisafe Pro is the complete suite. You can (or, at least, you used to be able to) buy a reduced version called Intellisafe Surround that, IIRC, gave you just BLIS & CTA. 2nd part - Yes, it's a relatively new thing. It's mostly software anyhoos but al...
