Re: Buy, lease or PCP

Interesting that we are all for buying upfront (I certainly am) and yet the majority of cars are bought on PCP. I hate the hard sell which only convinces me there is so much profit in it for the dealer that it can't be in my interest. I appreciate some people don't have the cash resources but I was...

Re: Collected at last

Well, got to say, I'm a bit miffed. As mantioned, dealer rang last Friday to say it has arrived and can pick up this week. Hoped for early week, and told sales manager would ring monday/Tuesday to confirm. Rang today, left a message asking him to ring me, rang around 1e o clock to say I could pick ...

Re: Buy, lease or PCP

Last eight new cars I've bought have either been full amount paid in cash, PCP at 0% with intention to pay the balance at completion, or a large deposit with 0% on the balance. I've never paid a penny interest. However, that's because I can and I completely understand the attraction of a good PCP or...

Re: SIM card info

For hassle free internet, get a £10 payg card from Three, initialize it in a phone then pop it in the sim slot in the boot. It works straight away, and I've had to top it up once since Sept so lets say it's cost me £15 so far*. Well worth it to avoid the agro of the convoluted Vodafone setup. *cavea...

Not wanting to be argumentative but the car has a display right in front of your eyes that tells you the gear number you're in if you resort to the paddles!

Yeah but it doesn't have a display 50 - 100 metres down the road, where my eyes are normally focussed.

Re: Flappy Paddles - the use of

Use mine occasionally to pop down a gear or two going in to a corner on the twisty bits, when I'm on my own. But this is not really a car to be hustled and there's so many gears it gets a bit confusing and I lose count, so generally I let the autobox do it's serene stuff.

Re: Car was keyed

Also maybe shop at Waitrose, my local one tends to have more shiny and expensive Volvos than mine :| I'd never park my Volvo in our local Waitrose, as it attracts people in big cars that can't drive - I've had two cars done on the rear side panel, one as I watched. That was an old bloke in a 7 Seri...

Re: Black Stone or Crystal White or Glacier Silver or Fusion Red or Denim Blue

I'd go for Denim Blue, which wasnt an option for the R Design when I was buying so I went for Thunder Grey which I like more now than I did then.

Still prefer Denim Blue though, a lovely colour imho

Re: Boot/Tailgate not operating

I aim a kick with my left foot, steady straight in and out under the EU flag on my EU plate - works every single time.

Good news for Arjen Robben (left footed and EU citizen), less so for David Beckham
