Re: Spare wheel

No spare on my previous car. Had a puncture whilst on a Scottish island. The only garage there offered me the choice of having 2 day wait for a correct replacement shipped from the mainland at my expense or purchasing a dodgy Chinese tyre that fitted but which I would have to throw away because it w...

Re: New Inscription Pro

PJM007 - now that's a familiar name! Think that you had one of the earliest FE's in Bursting Blue. New T5 Inscription - good choice! I'm just an occasional lurker here these days but I've still got mine (one of the first in the UK). I'll probably keep it until it is eligible for a scrappage scheme w...

Re: B4P Question - Inscription Ordered Mid June - Late September Delivery

I have the T4. The B4 is what's known as a Mild Hybrid. The stop/start system on my T4 works flawlessly and causes me no concerns. Agreed - I also have T4 & no problems (B5 on order). T4 is flawless for many drivers. Those that complain about T4 will, sure as eggs are eggs, complain about the B...

Re: B4P Question - Inscription Ordered Mid June - Late September Delivery

The B4 is a 'mild hybrid'. In mild hybrids there generally is a device which replaces the starter and alternator with a single device which assists the powertrain. I presume that is how it works in Volvo as well. Having driven B4 models the biggest change is that the Stop-Start works really seamless...

Didn't even know that the glovebox was cooled. How pointless is that? Especially as it's not even big enough to accommodate a gnat's sunglasses!

Re: windscreen cleaning

D’ya know when you’re in your pyjamas and then get ready to go out and don your glad rags, but come home with your hair all mashed up and food on your shirt? Well some of us are the same about our cars 😂👍 🧼 🧽 Messed up hair and food stained shirt? That sounds like my usual look! Perhaps that's why ...

Re: windscreen cleaning

sorry if this topic has been covered before - a lot of pages listed under search on "windscreen", but how do you clean the very bottom of the windscreen inside? Sorry if this is a dumb question. But why do you need to clean it? Mine's 2 years old and have never cleaned the inside of the s...

Apparently that piece is plastic is a USP 🤷‍♂️
In my book it is a far more useful feature than visible tailpipes with bits of shiny metal on that so many others seem upset about.

Re: Inscription

I've only used the windscreen ticket holder once in 12 months, I just put the ticket on the dash now. It's very flimsy and doesn't really fulfill its remit of holding the ticket firmly against the screen. I put the parking ticket in only to see it slide down the window, entering the gap between win...
