It’s EU regs, so type approval rather than MOT. I had the relevant articles somewhere but not immediately to hand.
I remember VAG dropped the light output from most of their ranges a few years ago to below the limit so as to avoid having to fit all the ancillary stuff.

Re: Delivery Date
Can you cancel? I think I'll be losing my deposit if I try and I'm tempted (fed up!). If the dealer fails to supply what you ordered within the agreed timescale, they are effectively in breach of contract. Most dealer’s terms of business (check your order form) will state if they fail to supply you...

Re: No headlight washers...
Depends on the light output. Anything over 2000 lumens (from memory) requires a cleaning mechanism and self-levelling.cosmic_dave wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 7:33 pm I thought that if your car had xenons or similar you had to have headlight washers by law?

Car manufacturers are remarkably adept at carefully pricing things to make sure your wallet opens as wide as possible. Welcome.

There's a five-year £599 deal, too. I'll be going for that.
Even if I don't keep the car that long, my sales manager made the point that the plan is transferable and he would always give a higher part-ex price on a car with a plan.

Re: Diesel or Petrol?
I'd like to think most manufacturers (with the apparent exception of JLR) have their DPF issues well under control by now. Mine's been fine despite a very low mileage. On the original question, I personally would prefer the diesel because I like torque. However, like Balmoral, I'd only buy one now o...

I would prefer not to have them, too.
Current vehicle has them on a separate button - pressed it once when it was new out of interest, haven't pressed it since.
If I lived in a snow-bound country, I'd want them. Otherwise, their only purpose is to satisfy EU lighting regs.

Re: Opinions needed please guys - my apologies for lengthy post
Would you be able to take a photo or two of the affected area so we could see what we're talking about? If you're considering having it replaced, I would ask what process is involved in achieving that; that would probably make the decision for me, if it were my car. For instance, a bonded panel I wo...

Re: Poll time - Would you have paid to have a different colour?
Could be worse - the old Citroen C4 Cactus came in a range of bright colours. The new one comes in a choice of nine - three are largely the same grey, two are white, and one's black. Monochromatic doesn't quite cover it.
