i have noticed recently that my 2021 T5 has seemed to be very slow on the kick down for getting going, sometimes its a couple of seconds after the foot has been planted that it finally takes off, it also seems to some times feel like it is 'surging' when i have my foot down, have any of you had the ...

Broken down
So for the second time in a week the xc40 recharge has broken down. First time it went into limp mode and wouldn’t allow me to go over 20mph, Volvo assist turned up plugged in and away we went, now this time I have had the error Driver Support System unavailable, service required and again a lack of...

Additional functions
So I’m sitting here in the car whilst SWMBO has gone shopping and it got me thinking, what additional functions are there that could be turned on by Volvo or somebody with the software? I can see at least 6 empty slots on the screen so there must be some, any ideas what I could be missing out on? Ca...

Re: Replacement tyres / puncture repair.
It sounds like you had one of the volumetric tyres fitted, I had the same but sadly for me it was 1500 miles in, the foam ‘get you home kit’ on that true type is useless, as it can’t get to the leak, ATS didn’t have any foam tyres so I ended up just getting a normal tyre installed, it has made no di...

Re: Covert lighting
Have a chat with your dealer. Most Volvo models have pre designed options for various service and emergency service users so that such lighting (both overt and covert) can be fitted. This is why unmarked police cars are able to hide so well. It's by design. Your dealer (or Volvo Special Vehicles de...

Re: Covert lighting
A mag light for the roof sounds the most sensible solution to me. Already got one of those! Even being 6’4 tall and wearing bright yellow reflective overalls when on site the amount of people that claim they didn’t see you is frightening, so if they can miss me then it beggars belief how they can m...

Re: Covert lighting
Why covert would be the fundamental question? The best illumination, if this is solely for safety reasons, is an amber lightbar on the roof rails. This will give the best 360 degrees illumination. Covert is usually reserved for the emergency services. The covert solutions are usually a massive comp...
