Re: Dashcams Again
I have Viofo 129 front and rear for a year, no problems so far. Front on the passenger side of the radar cluster? How far? Also, how did you route the cables as the rear camera cable is quite a chunky cable. Previously I had the power cable come down one side of the A pillar to the fuse box, and th...

Re: Dashcams Again
Thanks everyone for the feedback - was hoping the passenger (left of the technology cluster) was acceptable. This was my preferred location.

Re: Adding wife to VOC
My wife has her own id - the confusing part was the PIN. It should be the primary user PIN.Whiterdesign wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 5:55 pm You can set it up on as many devices as you want, using your log in details, I’ve got it on my iPhone, iPad, and wife’s iPhone.

Dashcams Again
Ready to install a dashcam which I took off previous car (Viofo A129 front and rear). Have been trawling through lots of posts about location (due to the radar cluster in the middle of the wind screen). Seems some have had no problems placing a dashcam next to the cluster on the passenger side. Poin...

Re: Adding wife to VOC
I had a problem setting up my wifes phone for VOC after setting my one up. Spoke to the dealer who contacted a product trainer who replied back with She just needs to set it up as if it is her own car by using the same details. Set-up Volvo ID Add Car Enter VIN Enter PIN Get in the car Press VOC But...

Re: Vodafone SIM - takes ages for a connection
Is it because of the network registration and user login? My free SIM is ending this month and I will get a PAYG data SIM instead. I'm not sure yet what the issue is with the SIM, but I wish it had all been set up before I collected the car.I don't mind sorting this kind of thing but only if it act...

Vodafone SIM - takes ages for a connection
When I can get the SIM card to work it works ok. But most times it either takes ages to get a 'Globe' indicating connection or sometimes not at all. Its usually quicker if I get the car to hotspot to my phone and then change back. Does anyone have a consistent working SIM card. The idea is brilliant...

Re: Winter tyres, alloys and snow chains
Not got my XC40 yet, hopefully March 1st. We did have a previous model XC60 AWD that has been to the Alps. These had 235/60 R18 tyres. We had Vredestein Quatrac 3 at the time and used them all year round and lasted quite a while, think around 20000 miles. Was fine in a little snow and felt confident...

Re: Just ordered
That's a quick turnaround. I ordered way back in October expecting mid Feb, pickup on Mar 1 hopefully. I was just told the order is firm and no further changes possible and the mid Fed expectation still holds, similar to you being a T4 FWD Inscription Pro and a bunch of options. I had the exact same...

Re: Snow Chains and Alpine Driving
Awaiting my XC40 order now, but previously prior car to current one was the previous model XC60 with AWD. The handbook says to only use single sided snow chains - so this meant the expensive ones such as centrax. Not cheap by any measure as they were 300 quid at the time. But these were easy to put ...
