Re: New XC40 collected, no Volvo on call set up

Mine wasn't set up either last year. However a call to the dealer and they set up oncall remotely and quickly. No onboard SIM in those days unfortunately.

Re: Coffee time?

I cant quite work it out. on my Audi it came up after two hours non stop driving which made sense. However on XC40 it seems random. Is it related to wandering between lanes as it does seem to only happen on motorways when I have been pulling out to overtake and then back?

I've never had a problem on my R Design D4. The only problem I have is it sometimes get switched off by mistake. I never find it jerky.

Re: New Member

Welcome fisherman. If your name implies you are another fisherman then you have made a good choice. I have had an R Design D4 for just over a year as I do even more miles than you (or I would have if it hadn't come to a virtual stop in March). Ideal for fishing as the through load feature means I ne...

Re: Flappy Paddles - the use of

I had them in my previous car and like many of you only used them occasionally. Typically only when on winding but fairly quick roads when away from home. However 90% of my driving is either motorway or local roads where I never used them. Hence saved the expense on my R Design d4 and can honestly s...

Re: Buy, lease or PCP

Interesting that we are all for buying upfront (I certainly am) and yet the majority of cars are bought on PCP. I hate the hard sell which only convinces me there is so much profit in it for the dealer that it can't be in my interest. I appreciate some people don't have the cash resources but I was ...

Re: Lockdown Fuel Prices

All the independent tests that I have seen agree it improves fuel economy but not by enough to outweigh the extra cost. I seem to remember that both Which and What Car came to this conclusion but I don't have the details now. I have never bothered for this reason.

Re: Lockdown

Waterhouse Chelmsford did my service including collecting and returning car this Monday. It was already booked in prior to lockdown and they have a waiting list for new services.
