Re: Leaving the XC40

:P We moved from an XC40 to an XC60 - no regrets at all, feels in a different league. After the first few hours I can say I agree. Definitely a step up in quality and feel. So far can’t really say anything bad about AAOS as I knew what I was getting into. Have a 1000km weekend coming up so that wil...

Re: Deformed window guide trim

We recently had similar on our XC60 - Volvo replaced FOC under warranty, Tech did mention that these are one-shot fittings too - once adrift they never refit again correctly.

Re: Heater fan blowing very hot air, not adjustable.

This was one of the issues that ended up being the demise of our XC40 - many visits to the dealer, 4 separate recoveries due to electrical failure and Volvo technical involvement.
Never was resolved so traded it for a new XC60 - god help whoever purchased our one!

Re: Android Auto with new Samsung

I think from memory you had to enable developer mode on older Samsung phones for it to be recognised by the car for Android Auto. I had this on an old Samsing S10, only.found out by Googling the problem.

Re: Car wash?

A lot of automatic car washes offer a touchless wash option, give that a go if the car isn't too filthy. I used to manage a team of engineers that were responsible for installing and servicing automatic car washes, their cars and vans at 3 years old had no paint left in certain areas - down to prime...

Re: New Member And Shopping for my First Volvo Help!

There is quite a step-change from the 154bhp car to the 163bhp car - When we originally looked at the XC40 in 2019 we demo'd a 154bhp car and it did feel a little underpowered however the 163bhp manual car we purchased felt a lot better. I'd certainly not dismiss a T3 for general use - ours was fine...

Re: Start Stop Battery Replacement

Thanks guys, The only point I missed is the replacement battery code which is YUASA YTS12-BS per photo attached. Same battery as my motorbike takes! Yes, same here. Using as a stop/start battery on a car, no wonder they fail! Are they really man enough? Probably not relevant for this application bu...

Re: Three days old!!

Slightly different model, MY2020 T3 so not a mhev, but continually had battery/electrical issues at just over 2 years old - had been faultless up to that point. Failed 4 times in about 6 or 8 weeks - dealers couldn't sort it, neither could Volvo technical. I ended up refusing to collect the car and ...
