Re: Can't wait to get rid
I know people talk about their problems on forums (and not so much about the good stuff) but I'm getting a bit scared when reading all this (and other subjects) regarding the XC40 my wife has ordered. On receiving the car I will look for visible problems and make reservations if so but the main pro...

Re: Can't wait to get rid
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/contents/enacted The above may help ( taken off the Jaguar forum so all manufacturers have their issues, some more than others obviously ). Real shame when this happens but stay calm, know your rights and you should get things sorted. I have no idea where...

Re: Can't wait to get rid
I would imagine you would have to go through the supplying dealer initially, I ended up going through a combination of the dealer and the manufacturer. Depending on the mileage they may / can make a small deduction, I took a hit of about £100 in the end, on both cars, can’t remember the exact milea...

Re: Can't wait to get rid
Sorry to hear you've been having problems. It must be so frustrating and disappointing. Generally vehicle dealers get paid very little, if any, diagnosis time on warranty repairs, hence their (bad) attitude. That is their problem not yours though. A change of dealer may make all the difference. Alt...

Re: Can't wait to get rid
Hi As long as your under the 6 month timescale you should be fine. I rejected my last 2 new cars, gave them 3 chances to repair ( but didn’t need to give so many ) In the end they offered me a replacement vehicle which I refused as didn’t want to risk another. One was a Jaguar F pace, the other a P...

Can't wait to get rid
I am beginning to hate this car. It's been in to the dealership three times for the stereo problems and each time it hasn't been fixed. Originally the air-woofer was defective and replaced. Then it was the air inlet that needed replacing so they did something behind the dash and most of the rattling...

Re: Auto Volume Increase/Decrease
I just came across this online so I thought I'd show you all. Apparently it does adjust for speed (Harman Kardon system at least) I haven't noticed it on mine though.
Although to be fair I've barely had any music playing due to how bad it sounds.

Windscreen wipers
Anybody have any wiper issues? My driver's side wiper screeches/squeaks on its way back down and it's driving me mad. They also seem to be very sensitive and inconsistent. My car has been in twice now for unrelated issues and the loan XC40s I've been given all behave fine. Mine though... I have them...

Re: PCP prices
I put £10k down for mine purely because I intend to pay the final balloon payment. I would have liked the T4 but it would've taken the car over £40k and I wasn't prepared to pay the extra taxes. I pay £241 a month. Your best bet is to get quotes from a couple of dealerships and try Carwow and CarFile.

Re: Auto Volume Increase/Decrease
Likewise this has been frustrating me, for a premium HK system it seems very poor and doesn't change at all. The system on my old 3 Series BMW was considerably better at changing the volume depending on speed If anyone finds a solution let me know! Same here - it doesn't seem to do anything to incr...
