Re: Windscreen chips

Blimey, you're lucky! I only had the Yeti a couple of weeks and had three hits in one day! I don't do many miles and keep well back from the car in front, I'm a bit OCD about it! My TT has a couple in the windscreen and a number of stone chips on the front and down the drivers side despite it only ...

Mine is heated too - is yours?
Yes mine is heated too. Make sure you mention it on the phone just in case.
Thanks. Will do.

Re: Windscreen chips

Just for information, Autoglass UK can now do the calibration in house. I had a stone chip on my windscreen, which quickly spread to a long crack. Autoglass replaced the windscreen this Saturday (with a Volvo original part) and did the calibration. The whole thing took about 2:30 hours and everythi...

Re: Roof noise with rain

Well well well. Now just been told it is fixed and they have 'adjusted the sliders' as the previous fix of just greasing it hadn't worked. This is not what I was expecting to hear. So, it was in for a full day previously and they just greased it. When I asked them on collection last time what they'd...

Re: Roof noise with rain

Mine went in the other day for sunroof judder, they told me the technical bulletin says to try adjusting the roof first before replacing the whole cassette. Fingers crossed it seems to have resolved mine as changing the cassette is a major job with roof lining etc all needing to be removed to repla...

Re: Roof noise with rain

Had its first years service today. Reported to dealer that for past few weeks when closing sunroof it shudders. Picked it up tonight and they want it back over two days as the cassette will need to be replaced. Seems this is happening with other XC40's Interesting. Mine has gone back in today for w...

Any interest in just the bar package for £160? Carrier now sold.

Re: Getting rid of XC40

I’ve had quite a few problems with mine to be honest but do really like the car. However if it had been purchased as opposed to leased it think I’d not be anywhere near as happy.

My disappointment comes more from the dealer. It’s in again for the sunroof next week.

But as I say I do love the car.

Thule bars and cycle carrier for sale

Decided for the amount of times I take my bike in the car I’d be better with a mat. I’ve genuinely had my bike on these twice. Bought from the roof box company. Consists of: 1x Roof mounting bike carrier: Thule 598 ProRide bike carrier black 2x Thule WingBars black: Thule Rapid System 118cm WingBars...

Re: Volvo PCP - Service Plan (dealer didn't set up - Fuming!)

Poor service again. If you have the same weird noise as me from the roof (hard to explain but sounds like some air is trapped) then there is not a chance this is how they are. I can certainly say I'll never spec a pano roof now but I believe this is a fault, not standard. It's an odd noise and load...
