Re: Volvo magazine UK (and offers)

Ta, can't seem to get stock of other brands locally and need them for tomorrow, was hoping to get a bit of a discount at the dealer!

Re: Crackling / Geiger Counter Sound Steering Column Area

Did it sound like this? (hopefully this works, no idea where to upload audio files) https://vocaroo.com/1nxnYyXuNEOh That's me recording audio with the bonnet open and moving the wheel left and right. I could hear a more muted version of this when inside the car driving at low speeds. If so, my deal...

Volvo magazine UK (and offers)

Volvo used to send me a magazine every once in a while but I haven't received one in a few years, do they still make it? I need to get some wipers and they used to have deals for parts advertised, I can remember getting the rear wiper free once when I bought front ones. I'm not sure where they list ...

Re: No more heated windscreen? (Recharge Pure)

I really don't understand why Volvo let different markets decide what features are available to customers and how they are packaged - sure maybe no point in offering a cabin heater in Djibouti but Volvo UK seem to change things all the time for what seems like no good reason. I think there were 5 di...

Re: On Call / SOS buttons - ever used them?

Thanks all, good to know it's a good service!

Very interesting they could potentially close my sunroof remotely as well!

On Call / SOS buttons - ever used them?

I've had two Volvo's with the On Call / SOS buttons inside the car but I've never used them. I'm aware what they are vaguely for but I just called Volvo Assistance with my phone the one time I needed them for a dodgy battery cable. Missed an opportunity I guess. Have you ever used this aspect of the...

Certainly Hawkwind, I can see how it makes sense for you, perhaps I need to cut back on my other spending if I want to go full electric!

Re: Care by Volvo - How do you afford it??!

Good points, maybe it's "sticker shock", I can calculate how they compare but £750 still feels like a big whack of money, even for me and I think I'm pretty fortunate so I do wonder who Volvo has estimated they'll be selling them to. Maybe I just need to wait 5 years and buy one cash secon...

Re: Care by Volvo - How do you afford it??!

It would include everything except insurance, no down payment, so servicing, maintenance etc. If you consider PCP and include the down payment spread over the term, PCP is still cheaper. I got 5 years servicing and warranty so thats the same but I do have to replace wear items like tyres. With PCP I...

Care by Volvo - How do you afford it??!

I currently own an XC40 on PCP and was interested in a full electric XC40 as my next car but the dealer can only sell me one cash or do Care by Volvo. I understand that's Volvo's strategy now but I'd love to know who can afford or can rationalise what they quoted me, £749 per month! That's more than...
