Re: First wash...
I'll check Mrs S's car when she gets home on the door shuts etc, but cannot say that I've noticed it when washing ...... Agree with the sparkle (it's fantastic), however the sparkle currently overshadowed by the two dents that I now have in the bonnet from something being thrown-up whilst on motorwa...

Re: Towbar
I have the Volvo electric one fitted and it's great, but agree that on the pricey side (although not as expensive as last car!). One thing to remember is that you may need to have the software updated by a dealer for any other non -manufacturers towbar fitted - So that all the electronic stabilisati...

Re: Paint defect at the roof panel
My mini Cooper Coupe had a black roof and whilst I meticulously remove bird poo as quickly as I see it, unfortunately a bird S**! on it whilst I was on holiday and left a similar situation - I never managed to get the shine back

Re: Glove box / manual & foot rest questions
I've never had any problems as you describe with any of the auto's that I've had over the years and can't remember any of my manual cars having foot rests for the right foot.
If my right foot is not required to press anything then it is just planted on the floor

Re: Cheshire XC40 meet up
Whilst 'over the hills' from me I would have tried to make a visit to one of my clients and used time to get to the early evening meet.....(assuming I could prise the car away from Mrs S!). However, we're actually driving down to London for a couple of days, so someone on the M1 from Sheffield to Lo...

Re: Dash Cam
Unsure how you can 'buy a part' to simulate an accessory wire! You either have an ignition controlled 12v or not! - Reads to me that your installer has picked-up what they thought was a steady 12v feed, but clearly not. There must be one in the fuse box that supports the 12v socket!

Re: 3.5 weeks of my First Edition....
Interesting, having had a look at the original price and spec list I had, there was no mention of the 20" wheels - only 19" on FE. So I guess I've got exactly the spec I thought I was getting! Phew! Will give them a ring about the economy and sensor calibration tomorrow though There was a...

Re: Delivery Date
Just checked Mrs S's car and it has the badge (drivers seat) and was definitely in same batch as I could have picked up 1st week March!
