This is the case with the more recent models but the early XC40 key fobs do not have this feature. Not sure which year it was introduced.

Re: T5 : how long should the battery last between drives?
I would invest in a small portable Jump Starter like the NOCO GB40, fits in the palm of your hand, easy to use and offers great piece of mind for those who don't drive much for very little outlay. I agree, I have one of these that I take on tour with me when on my Motorbike. It's a BMW and it is no...

Re: T5 : how long should the battery last between drives?
Similar to the previous post. Last year my 2018 T5 was left standing for 6 months in a repairers yard awaiting parts after an accident. Battery was fine, car started first time, but stop start didn't work initially, but started working again after a long run.

Re: Volvo Service Promise
Last year, after my 4th service under a 5 year service plan I noticed my 'On Call' automatically renewed before I could pay it. I'm sure I paid for renewal the previous year. I had the 5th and final service of the Service plan last week, so I'm just waiting to see if it auto-renews again. Also, last...

Re: What Next?
I hired a 22 plate Kia Sportage last year for two periods of 10 days each whilst my XC40 was awaiting parts after someone ran into it.
The Kia was a nice car to drive, and good value for money, but compared to the XC40 the interior finish feels cheap and the seats are no where near as comfortable.

Re: New car order last week but now Volvo doing inclusive service pack
I did look at the Q3 but needed to add some serious packs to get an equivalent spec...and after talking to a friend who is currentyly trying to negotiate a new deal with Audi ,,,he says their APR rates are pretty steep for a brand new order I am torn. I could wait and see if they reintroduce AWD on...

Re: New car order last week but now Volvo doing inclusive service pack
I was tempted by the offer announcement made this week (my XC40 is now coming up to 5 years old), but it would appear that the only AWD offering is the all electric, and I do not want this option. This is a deal breaker for me, so it looks like I'll be taking my business back to Audi who appear to g...

Re: Who would've thought ..........
Just to update on what is happening with our accident, there's not much to say, but it is going to court, the solicitor got in touch with us in the New Year to complete our out of pocket expenses claim and the court papers were duly issued. I had an email a couple of weeks ago asking me to complete ...

Re: 0% Finance
Not as good a deal at £1149 for 5 years, but this is just under £230/year so probably still a good deal on cars with petrol/diesel engines as I've heard the annual service cost is well over this price.
