RealGoneKid - do you know what part (apparently) solved problem? I'm currently travelling in Europe, turtle/tortoise appeared twice and seriously slowed car. Volvo garage has looked but says no error found.
Motorway driving not appealing without some resolution!

Has it now been resolved @RealGoneKid and how many miles have you now covered? Say three months and 1200 miles later, so far so good. Do you know what part was used to solve problem? It would be great to know. I'm currently travelling in Switzerland and have the turtle problem. Volvo garage says no...

I promised to report back when problem solved. It took the persistence of a dealer, but finally tracked down to some sort of loose fitting underneath the front half of the car (so not an interior fitting or sunroof). I can't be more precise, but hope this will help if anyone else gets similar sympto...

XC40 phev T5: rattle, passenger side, starts over 50-55mph (unaffected by bumps in road) - sounds more like air flow rattling something?
