Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.
I have just found out that it weighs almost exactly the same as my Q7 which I find really surprising! Huh? Unladen weight of a Q7 according to Audi is 2165kg. Running order weight of an XC40 is around 1756kg. Min kerb weight is around 1685kg.or are you comparing an EV model? Interesting, according ...

Re: Can a tyre be repaired after using sealant?
A good point well made, I guess there is however no guarantee that every puncture is repairable so even with a space saver you may still find yourself needing to replace both tyres. Feels as though somewhere along the line the manufacturers have created a nice saving and future income stream for the...

Re: Can a tyre be repaired after using sealant?
Thanks for the responses, having read up on the net, it seems that it is possible to clean up the tyre and repair it if indeed it is repairable but finding someone willing to do this is a completely different matter. So the all in cost for a puncture (new P-Zero and sealant) is £185.00 (or £267 thro...

Can a tyre be repaired after using sealant?
My XC40 has just suffered a puncture necessitating the deployment of the supplied sealant. I have learned from my local dealer that a replacement canister of sealant is £30 but they also mentioned that I may need to replace the tyre having now used the sealant on it. I would have thought that provid...

Re: Piglet assist in outside lane of duel cartridge way.
If it is taking you too close to traffic in the left hand lane, may be worth having your dealer check and if necessary recalibrate it, I have had this function in two Audi's and a VW prior to the Volvo and none are what I would call perfect, for me it works really well in slow moving traffic but is ...

Re: Piglet assist in outside lane of duel cartridge way.
Does piglet assist turn you into a road hog (sorry, could not resist). I find that it depends upon the width of the carriageway, when they are wide, it tends to gravitate towards the left, I do not think you can adjust it.

Re: Cost of second maintenance of XC40
I think this is unfortunately normal, service intervals are based upon maximum time or mileage, which ever comes soonest. Technically I think you could have some or all of the work done outside of the dealer network provided it is executed correctly using genuine parts. You could ask them test thing...

Best/most useful aftermarket accessory.
All, Just wondering what people have added to their XC40's after buying them and how it has worked out. So far I have only purchased a wireless Apple CarPlay adaptor which seems to be working really well, I have a built in wireless system in our other car it compares well with that, the only differe...

Re: Roof noise with rain
Hi All, I experienced this on the M11 yesterday during torrential rain. It sounded like a flat tyre at first but there were no other indications so I assumed that maybe it was a piece of loose trim (mudflap) or something stuck under the car. I pulled off of the motorway to check and could not find a...
