Re: Speed cameras
"Speed doesn't kill". Absolutely nonsense. You stated that stopping causes the problem, add this to increased speed and it proves clearly that you don't understand Physics and more specifically Newton's laws of motion. I'll drive at 70, you drive at 90 and we'll see who can stop quickest. ...

Re: Speed cameras
Why would you not just stick to the speed limit? There is absolutely no defensible reason for exceeding it.

Re: Is the rear camera a must have for parking on the XC40?
If you are a reasonably experienced driver who is used to parallel parking then you shouldn't really need either. However I have a rear camera and front and rear sensors and they do make parking easier, which is never a bad thing. Overall I would say get them if you can.

Re: Squeaky spring noise rear right (driver side)
I've had my B4 R Design MY22 for a year now and considering the money and alleged quality the XC40 is full of squeaks and rattles. I've had to fix some of these myself and others I've resigned myself to just putting up with. Prior to this I had a Peugeot which was much better built although the volv...

Re: Itching after handling parcel shelf
Mine is a MY22 B4 with the bonnet sound proofing so would assume the parcel shelf is also made of the same stuff as others have mentioned. I've handled my parcel shelf a lot with no problems whatsoever. Maybe 40 years of engineering have made my hands a bit leathery.

I agree Keith, the acceleration in eco is still very good. I too have an MY22 B4.

Spare wheel.
This has probably been discussed somewhere on here before but I'll ask the question anyway. When I bought my XC40 R Design B4 last October I ordered the gunge and compressor instead of a spare wheel. As I do about 14k miles per year just on my commute plus another 3-4k on trips away the lack of a sp...

Re: Internet use
I personally find it easiest to use my phone as a WiFi hub for the car. It carries out all the updates it needs to and I can stream music from any source.

Re: Sensus Map 1380 now available...
Went to downloaded 1386 yesterday but car was saying the file size was too big. Downloaded onto a virgin 128Gb memory stick but the car isn't seeing the memory stick (USB icon frayed out). I have music on another memory stick which the car instantly recognizes every time. Is it a formatting issue? 1...
