Re: New T5 RECHARGE charging advice !

Respectfully, I'd disagree. If your aim is to drive in electric mode as much as possible, and you'll plug in between frequent trips, it does make a difference. It's 4h45 to full on a 10A granny charger vs. 2h45 on a 16A EVSE. Makes quite a difference. @Rockford / bba Totally agree. Continue to char...

Re: NewMotion Charger & Volvo Cars App & Scheduled Charging

Just a quick update…

The Volvo on call app is now connecting to the far, so maybe the newly installed NewMotion charger needed to register with Shell first?

I still don’t have a NewMotion (to become Shell Recharge) app that allows me to schedule charging, maybe this will come in a future app?

Re: NewMotion Charger & Volvo Cars App & Scheduled Charging

You say the Volvo app doesn't recognise the car when plugged in to the NewMotion charger, but does it actually charge? Sometimes I've found there's a time delay between the app and the car. Might be this? If you have a PHEV, you will only be able to charge at 3.7kW on an EVSE vs. 2.3kW on a granny ...

Re: NewMotion Charger & Volvo Cars App & Scheduled Charging

Hi all I’ve finally had my NewMotion EV charger installed yesterday (ordered in June 21). The charger works fine using the NewMotion card after you swipe on the top of the charger unit. However, I’ve not been able to use any Shell Recharge / NewMotion app that works for home charging, let alone sche...

Collecting T5 hybrid on Thu 16/09 - what should I check, and also ask the dealer?

Hi Today I received confirmation that our new car order will be ready for collection this Thu (16/09). Now obviously I will be excited on the day, so just thought I would gauge opinion on this forum on what I should be checking/asking the dealer when I collect the car. My thoughts at the moment are:...

Re: Poll: Lead times ( from order till delivery)

We ordered our car on the 1st June. Our dealer told us then that there would be at least a 3 month wait, and in mid-June told us it would be more like the end of Nov. I know our dealer has been completely honest, other dealers maybe less honest…

Re: Couple of questions.

@bba - when driving the XC40 in ‘B’ mode, do you have to change the gear manually, or does the car still shift up/down automatically? When I finally get my XC40 T5, I hope to be able to use one-pedal driving…
