Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
It turns out that unlike the BMW the XC40 does not have sensors for hands on the wheel all around, but only in the "10 to 2" hand position, which gets very tiresome on 1,000-mile journeys and really messed up my neck. Not holding the steering wheel like so is what caused the irritating nee...

Re: 2.6, but not OTA so far.
How do you determine which version the car is on?

Re: Roadside failure
For those of us who are a bit hard of understanding - what is the connection between VOC and Enterprise Car Hire? This for the purpose of avoiding a similar fate.

Re: Apple CarPlay problems
1. Yes, it is what it is... Although I am very pleased with the Sensus navigation and I use it often
2. I don't have this issue, the alarms/notifications appear at the top end of the Carplay screen
3. I have that too
In case it is relevant to 2. I use a wireless Carplay adapter.

Re: Rattle passenger side
Thanks @wpv - I will be having mine in soon too, and will also report back. I think the noise from mine is coming from the rear of the front left wheel arch and it does sound like something is loose..

Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
It might also change your opinion about this being a major Volvo safety flaw since the system was never intended for use on roads without lane markings. Certainly not! Clear, explicit handover from the driver assistance system to the driver is absolutely crucial for the continuous safe operation of...

Re: Non franchise dealer service
Why would you want to use a non-franchised garage? What are you seeking to gain? If buying I would pay significantly less for a nearly new (3-4 years old) car with a non-franchised service history if I would even consider it. Also, it seems a major portion of car servicing today is updating software...

Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
@Felindre, @eugen61, @Cevoli21 - super interesting, thank you all so very much! Without your replies, I would have had no idea that my car might be faulty or a weird spec. I am due into the garage again for a few follow-jobs from the recent service soon and I will make a point of bringing this up. I...

Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
@eugen61 - that is quite interesting - could you please provide the year, variant and market (country) of your car as ours must be quite different then? I just had mine in for service including software upgrades so I am reasonably confident it is running current software as a few bugs I had complain...

Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
The 'Driver Assist' on my previous BMW 330e 69-reg was vastly better than the 'Pilot Assist' on my current 20-reg XC40. One major difference between them is that on the BMW there are sensors detecting whether you are holding on to the steering wheel and whether your gaze is ahead and if you satisfy ...
