Re: XC40 R Design B4P 7 SPEED
Here is full specification in Czech Volvo pricing list of B4 and B3 https://imgur.com/FXY5IZe.jpg 2.0litrový řadový čtyřválec = 2 liter inline 4 cylinders B3 is 120kw/163hp, 265 Nm torque, same as current T3. But 0-100km/h is 8.4 seconds so a bit faster, probably due to the electric engine helping. ...

Re: XC40 R Design B4P 7 SPEED
I checked my countries Volvo website and found XC40 price list -
T3 is no longer available and instead it's called B3 - so mild hybridization? It is also now 2.0L 4 cylinders instead of 1.5L 3 cylinder. And B3, B4 have 7 speed dual clutch, only B5 has the 8 speed.

Re: XC40 gearbox
Pure ICEs and mild hybrids such as T4, D3, B4 and similar use torque converters Plug-in hybrids (T4/T5 Recharge) use dual clutch Pure electric P8 has no gearbox Can be verified here under transmission and googling the transmission code: https://www.media.volvocars.com/global/en-gb/models/xc40/2021/s...

Re: T3 or T4? Did I made a mistake with T3?
No there's only one 1.5 engine, it's in the same state of tune whether you choose R Design, Inscription or Momentum. These are trim levels only. The R Design has slightly firmer suspension but that's the only "mechanical" change. The one exception is the T5 Recharge in which the same engi...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.
BTW, I do have two hooks (shackles or links actually) by the front passenger seats; approx. at the passenger ankles level. They are firm and stiff and you can't move, remove or twist them. Does anyone knows what are these for? I doubt they're for safety nets, but could be for child seat mounting. A...

Re: Snow setting for Geartronic XC40 B4 2021
I have 2007 XC90 which has snow mode. In my XC40, I have fitted snow tires, since they are mandatory where I am from, and had no problems on snow in comfort driving mode. Closest you can get to snow mode is offroad driving mode. I have tried that once, it does make a difference, and it could be usef...

Re: XC40 2.0 B4 FWD mpg issues
I have T3, which is the same engine with one of the cylinders "cut off" and without the mild hybrid system. I currently average 8.4L/100km which google says is about 28 MPG. I have just over 1000 km, but that includes about 500 km of motorway which improved the average a bit. I live in cit...

Re: Dash cam recommendations
I recommend Viofo dashcam. Been using them for the last 5 yrs. The one in my XC40 has worked perfectly since I fitted it on day one of ownership (Oct 2018) with no issues whatsoever with the cars sensors. It’s fitted right at the top of the screen, about 35mm to the left of the sensor binnacle. Fro...

Re: Beware - My signal blocking pouch failed.
I don't understand why would you need RFID blocking pouch for keys? The keyless entry has range of about one meter so unless you keep the keep directly next to your car, what is the point? The remote unlock (physical buttons on keys) use radio signal with higher range, but RFID blocking won't protec...

Re: Keyless locking system playing up
I think DPF takes about 15 minutes to clear so say 15-20 minutes for engine to get warm and then 15 for DPF, total 35+ minutes I'd say. Ideally on motorway or rural road, no stop start city traffic of course.
