Re: Random electrical gremlins?

Oh dear, that's awful. Really does sound like a duff battery to me. My previous experience with VW's the electrics played up if the voltage was too low. Maybe putting it on charge might help. I think there's a hidden physical key in the remote, having gotten in you supposed to be able to place the k...

Re: USB as a source

What issues are you getting, and do you have the sensus or android head? I've got a 21 B4 with sensus head. I've ripped all my CD's FLAC format using windows media player, assembled them in folders by artists name, and on a USB stick. This works fine, plays them all, if I switch away to radio, when ...

Re: B5 fuel consumption

I guess there's an argument to be made that in Germany on an unrestricted autobahn then it's not illegal. However Volvo has declared this is a standard safety feature on all their cars so you have accepted that by purchasing the vehicle.

I've had that with cars parked off the road at the side. Seems ok now i've set it to late detection.

Re: Anyone else think the reversing light is not bright enough.

The camera's illuminated by reversing lights, and it's abysmal at night. Had one on my Tiguan which was good, the one on my misses T-Cross is brilliant. As clear as day, you can see everything whilst reversing. Also just illuminated by the reversing light.

Mine started showing
Adaptive headlights temporarily unavailable
Today. Pressed accept and carried on
Happened about 4 times then was ok (till next time)
I had that last night! As you say went away after a couple of minutes.

Re: Cornering Lights

Only if you already have this feature on the car. Not all models do have them, e.g. my Inscription doesn't.

Re: Daylight running lights

To my surprise I can confirm that's the same on mine also! I can't imagine why you would want to turn off the rear DRL, I even coded them in on my wife's VW T-Cross.

Re: Daylight running lights

When the DRL are on are the rear lights also on? See so many cars driving in heavy rain etc with only DRL and no rears on Rear lights are on the whole time. Not when the selector is set to 0, only when it's on Auto or the headlights are on. I thought DRL were always on, and both front and rear, irr...

Re: Under bonnet insulation.

Seems random, maybe it's where it was built? Seem to remember there's a letter in the VIN that lists the build factory? From https://www.xc40forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2711#p23983 I found this: Plant Code The 11th digit is the manufacturer’s plant code, The 11th digit is "2" for ...
