Re: Farewell (until the next time)
One last thing before you go…I saw the pictures of the Volvo over on the VOC forums and although I know Lincolnshire quite well, I cannot place the location, I thought somewhere near to Boston?? I always try to find an interesting backdrop for first day photos (sad I know) but I used to live in Spa...

Farewell (until the next time)
xc40.jpeg So after 3 years and 4 months and 67,000 miles, my XC40 T5 Inscription Pro PHEV company car was loaded onto a truck last night and headed off to auction. In that time the car has been bullet proof. Outside of normal servicing the only thing that needed to be fixed were the front seatbelts...

Re: Recharge keys
Where did you get the information that the orange can't be assigned to a profile? Mine certainly works fine as a second key with assigned seat position, radio stations etc. So far I've found no limitation at all. This was a change. It used to be that the orange key was a "Safety Key" and ...

Re: Recharge keys
Hi, I have a new recharge on order and it seems it comes with only one key.Is that correct? If so, how much is a new one? So you’re paying not far off £50k, possibly more depending on which variant you are getting, and they cannot give you two ‘proper’ keys. This is really a pathetic showing from V...

Re: Rocking an Rolling!!
I have a T5 Inscription Pro, also on 19" wheels. I came from a Mini Clubman JCW
I have now done 66,000 miles and the car still feels planted and confident (although not as good on the twisty bits as the Mini)
So it does sound like something is not right

Re: solution for jerky braking?
I had this problem initially but the first service updated the software which in turn seemed to fix the problem. My car is a 2020/1 model year so I would expect any vehicle that has gone through the dealer network in the last 2 years to have had this update. Remember on the hybrids, the brakes are h...

Re: Xc40 broken into without key
Just being curious: how does the key know that it is not moving? I guess there is no GPS unit or motion detector in the key, so what makes it decide that it should go to sleep and stop transmitting? Are you sure this information is correct? I wish you are right because it makes the volvo more secur...

Re: Xc40 broken into without key
JFDIT, thanks for the replies, I’m sure I lock the car most of the time and lessons learnt I will always look for the flashing alarm light as a double check, particularly before any holiday! The simple tell is when you press lock on the key fob, if the lights don't flash, they the car has a problem...
