Front wheel scrabble/torque steer on harder acceleration - even with 235 wide Pirreli PZeros fitted there's not enough mechanical grip to deal with the torque on damp roads.
Isn't the C40 now either rear wheel drive or all wheel drive?

Re: Rocking an Rolling!!

I have a T5 Inscription Pro, also on 19" wheels. I came from a Mini Clubman JCW

I have now done 66,000 miles and the car still feels planted and confident (although not as good on the twisty bits as the Mini)

So it does sound like something is not right

Re: solution for jerky braking?

I had this problem initially but the first service updated the software which in turn seemed to fix the problem. My car is a 2020/1 model year so I would expect any vehicle that has gone through the dealer network in the last 2 years to have had this update. Remember on the hybrids, the brakes are h...

Re: Xc40 broken into without key

Just being curious: how does the key know that it is not moving? I guess there is no GPS unit or motion detector in the key, so what makes it decide that it should go to sleep and stop transmitting? Are you sure this information is correct? I wish you are right because it makes the volvo more secur...

Re: Xc40 broken into without key

JFDIT, thanks for the replies, I’m sure I lock the car most of the time and lessons learnt I will always look for the flashing alarm light as a double check, particularly before any holiday! The simple tell is when you press lock on the key fob, if the lights don't flash, they the car has a problem...

Re: Xc40 broken into without key

So if the boot wasn't properly closed, then whilst you would have heard the central locking try to lock and the mirrors fold in, the alarm would not have been set The car is now sat there, open and with the boot not closed properly and the alarm isn't set. Thus no red flashing light So that kid is p...

Re: Thinking of a XC40, Know little about cars, never owned a Volvo, advice required.

Thanks for the reply. Of my 20k miles most of it 80% is motorway so I do need something fairly efficient. I also don't have anywhere to charge an electric motor so that is pretty much out of the equation for me. I've had the T5 PHEV for 3 years and like you do high motorway miles (it's a company ca...

Re: Sat Nav .... Not the best as it seems.

So if you like your TomTom then you can get the TomTom ap on your iPhone and have it on the main screen using CarPlay rather than having a separate unit. Unlike the majority here, I would agrue that both Waze and Google Maps are totally useless as direction givers. Yes as a map service or informatio...

I wish it would also show when the battery is being used.
That's what the little drop symbol at the top of the energy meter does.

Re: Learner not Quite Driver

I owned a couple of Volvos when I was younger. An S70 TDI and an S60 D5. Both great cars. Since then I have had various BMW, Audi and Mercedes cars before getting.my current XC40 as a company car. As it sits on my drive right now it is 3 years and 3 months old with 65,000 miles on it. My new company...
