When the car is running in pure mode there is a DC-DC converter that powers the 12V system from the traction battery - this will also provide charge to the 12V battery if required.

We used to have a Freelander with Hill Decent Control (I think the Volvo system was "borrowed" from LR, when both were owned by Ford.....) Anyway - just to say, HDC works by activating the brakes on each wheel separately, and controlling any slip - So HDC shouldl work just as well in a FWD...

This will replace our VW Golf GTE (Plug in Hybrid) as our long range EV

We have a Mercedes B-Class Full Electric that we currently use as our main car - but the Golf does the long trips!
