Hi - the gurgling noise is a known fault. The drain pipes need extending where they enter the engine bay. The xc40 Facebook forum have the repair sheets from Volvo if your dealer is having selective brain fade on this well known issue !

I got caught out on the cable thing when we purchased ours. When you read it carefully the £50 option is for Volvo to take a 3 pin cable out of your car at the factory and swap it for a Type 2 (7m). If you want 2 different cables the type 2 - as an additional and second cable is £325 !!

Me too ! Car has lost power and failed for the 8th time and will be back at the dealer for the 5th time from tomorrow. But apparently they can’t fix it because it doesn’t “log” a fault despite photo and video evidence !

I agree Shane we have been leant xc90s and they are all swift ! I like my xc40 I just wish you could rely on it for overtaking - when it failed last time it was mid-overtake which was v scary !

Ours is still at the dealer (3rd time) been there for over a week. Dealer is very apologetic Volvo UK entirely absent and silent on what is a real safety issue. Quite unbelievable for a brand that like to major on safety !!
