Re: XC40 2.0 B4 FWD mpg issues

We have had our B4 since September and its hardly done any miles (6-700). I have not checked with my own calculation but the screen MPG seems to show low 30's pretty much all of the time. Considering the nature of the journeys I think that's not too bad.

Re: Failed Auxiliary Drive Belt - after 529 miles...

As an update on the actual issue, I can inform everyone that we are still waiting for the part to arrive from Sweden. I'm blaming Brexit for that delay. :D

Re: Failed Auxiliary Drive Belt - after 529 miles...

I was just telling others for their peace of mind that not all XC40's have mechanical faults. Just because the dealer didn't give you a virtual hug and offer to service it for free next time you criticise them. They have responded in a reasonable manner. I hope they resolve it for you quickly so yo...

Re: Failed Auxiliary Drive Belt - after 529 miles...

Sometimes components have faults during manufacture. Volvo seem to have been perfectly reasonable, they have to order the parts and wait for them to be delivered. There is also a global pandemic happening remember :) My XC40 now has 30k miles and I have not had any mechanical issues. Good grief. I ...

Re: Failed Auxiliary Drive Belt - after 529 miles...

I'm not sure, but I imagine the tensioner failed which caused the belt to fail.

As for the dealer - the usual story... I have to chase for information and the only thing they said was "We are waiting for a part...". No apology, recognition of the issue, or anything else.

Failed Auxiliary Drive Belt - after 529 miles...

We collected our B4 Inscription Pro in September or October 2020. Since then, the car has barely done any miles due to lockdowns etc. In fact, it's done 529 miles. Yesterday I used it to take an elderly relative to get a Covid jab and on the way home, whilst on the motorway, a couple of warning mess...

Re: Inscription Pro seats MY21

No complaints about the seats in MY21 (September 2021) Inscription Pro. As expected, the seats are excellent - although I'm yet to go on any very long journeys due to the current situation. I am considerably heavier than you.

Re: Navigation package

I reckon the built in system is a better option all around. Quite apart from the improved display, you will also get voice control, instructions in the centre display and several other features that make the Volvo system safer to operate. Poor advice from the salesperson, demonstrating a lack of pro...

Nonsense.
