Re: Engine immediately dies
Happened to me recently, exactly the same. I can’t remember exactly but at the time I thought it was down to something I was doing wrong in the starting procedure- I think maybe it was because the car was in gear even though of course the clutch was disengaged ( manual T3 also ). Anyhow it started o...

Re: Driver Assist Package - Is it worth it?
For what it’s worth i personally find there is no actual blind spot when driving the Xc40. The views in the interior mirror and the door- mounted mirrors overlap comfortably so that at no time can one not see a vehicle behind. I suppose this may depend on individual mirror adjustment and driving pos...

Re: T3 or T4? Did I made a mistake with T3?
No noticeable vibrations with our T3, smooth running and very quiet, the sound-deadening engine cover seems to work very well- like Felindre I can’t always tell if it’s running at idle. Some some inevitable noise from under the bonnet when you put pedal to the metal but to my mind this is a kind of ...

Re: front seat covers
Depends what you use them for. I use cheap covers to protect seats from sunlight damage on sunny days while car is parked- not for driving

The Solon Security "Defender pouches are warranted for 12 months. One of mine failed and the company replaced it it without quibble.

Re: Emissions Warning Light
A propos of the recommended measure to avoid particulate filter problems I accept that all I have to do is follow the manual, but do not really understand why driving the car at a particular speed is specified regardless of whether the transmission is automatic or manual. Could not the same result b...

Re: Dim Dipped Headlights
In my experience The adaptive headlamp system works absolutely brilliantly and the sensitivity level can be selected too. Never failed to dip for oncoming cars and also street lighting. Not sure as I write if it has been dipping for cars ahead eg that have just overtaken, but easily overridden manua...

Storage space lighting
The owner’s manual refers to door storage space and cup holder lighting, without an asterisk to indicate this is an option. My Momentum Pro T3 does not seem to have these lights - I am guessing this is normal and the manual is misleading?
