Test drove a T4 on my regular commute up a two mile long hill and it struggled to accelerate beyond 80mph. T5 just kept going....
Not condoning speeding, but the difference between the two was a very noticeable.

Spluttering engine in first 100 metres
Morning! Almost every time when the engine is cold, my 2020 T5 splutters when going around the corner just a few metres from my house. I have to drive around parked cars so am only very lightly touching the throttle at no more than 10mph and it feels like the car is changing gear too early and resul...

New speed camera notifications
Where I live there are new cameras on the so called ‘smart’ motorway. Anyone know when the SATNAV gets updated to warn for new cameras?

Re: Volvo torque converter - what do you think?
I’m pretty sure the latest software update (May/June 2020) smooths there gear change a little. But then of course that could be in my mind!

Re: T5 performance
It’s interesting nobody else has commented on this thread. I went from a Golf R with masses of torque throughout, and blink quick auto shifts, to the XC40 T5 with comparably lethargic auto shifts in a heavier car. So took it as ‘this is the way it is’. Now i have a courtesy V90 T5 Cross-Country and ...

Keyless Entry & Relay Attacks

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience on how well the Volvo is secured against such an attack? Mine is a 2020 model Lots of opinions abo...

Re: Paint Quality, Airco & Other Things
Sooooo........ air conditioning was resolved by regarding the system to the correct level, software update took care of the other niggles and paint quality was acknowledged by the dealership and they’re going to talk to some people (bodyshop, retailer and Volvo) and come back to me next week. Finger...

Re: Paint Quality, Airco & Other Things
Wow. Spooky is that I picked mine up on Friday 6th March, which was three weeks earlier than originally planned and I (then stupidly) thought that perhaps they had rushed it! I’d be interested to hear how you get on, as I suspect my whole car will need respraying (if they would do that to a new car)...
