it is just a button, you can simply deactivate this 'feature', I agree it is really annoying

Re: not for us
Hi Dermo,
Whenever you pull away from stopped, it was sticky, jerky and noisy from the brakes binding and then releasing.
Can't see the point of it,other cars don't have it and don't need it.
Blastpipe, ours is a top of the range HSE with heated seats etc.

not for us
Recently test drove a top of the range T5. The plan was to p/x our Disco sport. But mrs ringer not enthusiastic because the automatic park brake system is extremely irritating. Re: Keeping the car ticking over
The most important thing is to drive the car long enough to fully heat the oil as this evaporates off any condensate that has collected in the engine and oil..
I guess that's a good reason, not to buy a new car that 's been hanging around in the showroom, during 2020.

Re: Can't wait to get rid
This topic certainly reminds me of the Discovery Sport forum, and those wishing to reject their cars.
I guess, Jap car forums, get least complaints.

Re: Delivery / Handover process ?
What normally happens for me is the salesman explains everything, about the car,and then a practice drive with him as passenger.

Re: Tuning
Yes £5000. The wife panicked and trashed a wing and 2 doors. We didn't have a visit from an assessor, just sent pictures and a quote, after which insurance company gave permission for the repair. When my old car was chipped, the garage gave me back the old chip,it measures about 1 x 1/2 inches thin met...
