Re: Sat Nav

The text High Street you mention comes up as text on the standard Home Screen. However if you press the text you will get the map view, if you press the compass symbol the map will show the car icon in the centre and will move as the car moves. If you zoom into the map street names and numbers will ...

Re: NO spare wheel!

I have no expertise in types of sealant or experience in whether or not a tyre can be repaired or not. Whether the repair shop refuses a repair because technically it can't be done or they won't do it for cost reasons the outcome is the same - the tyre isn't repaired. A spare wheel would remove the ...

Re: NO spare wheel!

The genuine spare wheel and bits weighs 11kg. Presume the supplied liquid fix weighs something, let's say 4kg.

I'm sure they could lose the difference (7kg) on something less important.

Re: Sat Nav

Not sure of your question. If the map is shown on the central screen your current location is shown whether or not you are using the satnav. You can pan or zoom around to show what you want. Press the button that looks like a compass (a O with a + within it) to get the screen to centre on your curre...

Re: NO spare wheel!

A lot of tyre repair shops will refuse to repair a tyre that has been "fixed" using the inflation/liquid fix. Effectively meaning that instead of a relatively cheap repair a new tyre has to be bought. Hence using the liquid repair means a new tyre - death to the old one !! The liquid fix w...

Re: NO spare wheel!

At each point that a spare wheel is mentioned in the manual there is quite clearly an asterisk * at the side of each mention. At the bottom of each page the asterisk is explained as meaning "Option/accessory". It's quite clear that the spare wheel/tyre is a paid for extra. After the car is...

Re: Auto stop/start

One easy option is to leave the software to do its job i.e. reduce emissions and a (small) reduction in consumption. That way you'll relieve your frustrations as well. As I've said a few times I was of the same opinion originally but now just get in the car and drive. It works well enough and doesn'...

Re: Auto stop/start

Agreed Dermottdog. And furthermore you can get the car to re-start just by easing off the brake pedal, so it's already running when it's time to pull away. Much smoother. I have the auto-hold activated (button with the green LED near the handbrake switch) so easing off the brake doesn't do this for...

Re: Auto stop/start

If you set up a profile with it off, or use Dynamic which has it off as standard, then an equally fast workaround is to press the physical profile select button and select the profile of you choice by pressing the screen. On my wife's car the auto stop/start can be switched off permanently and I alw...
