Re: Leaving the XC40

:P We moved from an XC40 to an XC60 - no regrets at all, feels in a different league. After the first few hours I can say I agree. Definitely a step up in quality and feel. So far can’t really say anything bad about AAOS as I knew what I was getting into. Have a 1000km weekend coming up so that will...

Leaving the XC40

Well. My time in the XC40 world has come to an end. Lease is up on my T5 Recharge, will be returning it today and picking up my new XC60 T6 Recharge instead. Couple of reasons for stepping up a size so to speak. Firstly being stuck with FWD for 3 years in some of the snowiest winters we have had in ...

Re: What to drive next?

As my lease is up in June I just placed an order for an XC 60 T6 Recharge (Dark / Vapor Grey) in Plus spec. Not so exited with the move to AAOS but what can you do. After driving my XC40 for 3 years and being my first non AWD car for a very long time I needed to go back to AWD as these Finish winter...

Re: Roadside failure

I drive my T5 Recharge in 2 modes only.

City driving / work commute/ school run in Pure.

All other times in Power mode with TC in sport mode.

Power mode is enjoyable. 😀

Re: Roadside failure

Perhaps I’m going to throw fuel on the fire here. But I came to the Xc40 T5 Recharge from a A6 3L TDi (v6) via a Porsche Cayenne S (4,5L v8) and was highly surprised by its capability and drivability. Perhaps in my case it’s the addition of hybrid and a turbo but the motor in the Volvo delivers much...

Re: Rattle passenger side

I can’t think right now where I have seen it, but I do remember reading this. There is a plastic part in front or near the under body around the front wheel arches that can vibrate at around those speeds. Have a search on this or other XC40 forums and I’m sure you will find what I’m talking about. E...

Re: HELP Constant alarm - even while driving (?)

I assume you have used the VOC button in the car and asked for assistance? Pretty sure you could label this as a danger to driving due to distraction.

Re: Fuel tank level

At a risk of reopening this can of worms, I can confirm without doubt that my fuel gauge does indeed change along with the estimated range. This may be engine type related, I have a T5 Recharge, but it is something I notice all the time, the "fuel level" seems to fluctuate quite a lot (can...

Re: T5 Recharge on a “long” trip

Yeah, that's been doing the rounds now for a few days. Unless you have access to the SuperCharger network (ie a Tesla) and even then on limited routes, long trips like this with an EV are pretty hard to plan here. One of the reasons I went for the XC40, I do my day to day driving almost exclusively ...
